Every Software Architect is going to design REST API these days.
REST API is the de–facto standard of the Web API world, and all the major websites are having it – Twitter, Amazon, Facebook, Google and lots and lots more.
If you’re designing a web app – the developers using it will expect it to have a REST API.
But, how can you make your REST API stand out? How can you convince the API users to actually use the API, and not just take a quick look at it and go away?
In today’s world, where everyone expose REST API, it’s not easy to attract developers. And if no developer will come – usage and monetization will be a problem.
The key to make your API stand out is to design a well thought–of API, one that is:
1. Easy to use
2. Easy to understand
3. Consistent
4. Performant
5. Just Works
A good Software Architect must be able to design such an API. In fact, designing the API is one of the most important tasks of the Software Architect.
In this comprehensive course, you’ll get all the knowledge required for designing great, professional, REST API, using the techniques used by all industry–leading APIs.

Perfectly covered and explained 🙂

I have previous experience with REST API’s (say with dots of knowledge), This course connected all the dots. This course is Designed for Beginner level. It could be better if trainer adds few more concepts like (Rest Architecture Features, In detailed discussion about Swagger and RAML and their comparison, In Details API Security and API Gateway concepts) and makes it for Advanced & Master levels. Overall it is a good course for Beginners.

Not much details. waste of time and money. He is statically builds the responses on a dumb free website. You will not learn what he says in a real world client sever environment. Topics are also very primitive and lacks substance
Benjamin Baraz –
Excellent, well focused and very comprehensive
John Davis –
So far, great course.

The course is for beginners with weak level details coverage. A lot of time author creates mocks for api using beeceptor. Mostly it is not connected with API Design. It is waste of time and examples can be prepared in advance. For example show ‘how to’ in the beginning part and further just use prepared examples. Removing beeceptor the course will take not more than 30 40 minutes of useful info. It would be better if more detailed info is explained instead of beeceptor master class. Quite weak course from senior architect

I liked this course. It explains all the main concepts to design a good REST API. I also gets you into the terminology of API design and some tools you can use. It‘s clear and concise so you get prepared for more complex and extensive courses. That’s how I feel now.

This is an excellent and a very practical course to know how to design REST API without any prior knowledge. Every section of this course is practical and with details. The added bonus is the Resources material and checklist that you can download and keep it with to help you for designing your own REST API. Overall, it is a very good course for someone who wants to know how to design REST API.
