Very informative and instructor is very clear.
Alexander Curnow –
This course was excellent. I’m using it to prepare for an intensive six month full stack web dev bootcamp I’ll be attending. The first six months are dedicated to HTML CSS and JS and I wan’t to get as ahead as possible so I’m able to take in and retain more info as we go along through the bootcamp. Such a good course, thanks Jonas!
Nilesh Wani –
I was looking for a beginner HTML and CSS course that could give enough confidence to build websites on my own. After going through this course, I can say that this is a perfect course for anyone who wants to start learning HTML and CSS and get to a stage of deploying and tracking the websites. This course lays a very sound foundation on which you can enhance your skills.
Cazari churches –
it’s great listening and understanding the concepts of HTML. With these lessons, it’s easy to follow and with other tutors, it can be frustrating but this is a great course for beginners

The first guide on web design that I’ve every seen, that actually teaches you about real design rules, with out leaving you confused. This course spells out everything very clearly it gives you that oh thats how they do that moment.
Ahmed Elsharbatly –

Shuaib Meacham –
I appreciate that compared to other courses I am taking, the instruction is much more direct and to the point of what it takes to create a functional website. Within 3 lessons, I am able to make content with images.
Pilseong Heo –
He is doing his job without proper explanation. I know he is good at html, css and design.

Only 1 small issue is that towards the end of the lectured i think the teacher was rushing through. I could pick up after going through the last part a few times. Unfortunately i’m not sure if any other people would pick up on that. I have also used Teamtreehouse which allows you to slow down the pace of a video if you feel the lecturer is talking too fast. This might help on Udemy. Also because i am familiar with html but have forgotten a few things, i believe the lecturer was making the lecture as easy as possible which meant even skipping some important points that every beginner should learn just in case. For example, when i started learning i did not have access to brackets, the text editor that makes things much simpler and so many things you do not have to do making it very convenient for the person coding. When i started coding i was introduced to anchor tabs. it would have been nice if this too was covered initially. You see one major problem i faced when learning coding was the place i learned to code from , everything was made easy for me (for e.g. inputting code inside codecademy workspace), however when i decided to transfer my programming knowledge away from the browser, away from say the work environment of (codecademy, teamtreehouse, udemy) etc and program from scratch there were many things i wish i knew that was not covered in the course initially. One thing i wanted from a course was for me to become independent and not reliant on the tools infront of me. The first thing most learners would do after learning something new is to self practice whatever they learnt on a seperate workspace. Because of my previous knowledge in html i was able to overlook a few things i felt should have been covered in the lecture video. There could have been atleast an alternative way of doing things. This course no doubt seems like the most simplest and fastest way of learning, but i am unsure if this will make me independent, for the real test will be working on my own in an unfamiliar environment perhaps with a different text editor or no text editor at all initially.

Really enjoyed this lecture.

I find this quite interesting

This is the first time I start coding and I am facing difficulty. I go through various youtube stuff, the more I learn the more I become confused. Searching in udemy website I found this course and it helps me a lot building up my concepts in front end technologies. I appreciate you for your work. Thank you You are doing a great job. Keep it up.
Dugald Steer –
This was a great course that helped me solidify and remember a lot of ideas and concepts about HTML and CSS that I had picked up elsewhere. Jonas is a good teacher and the course isn’t hard to follow.
Marc –
This is a very good course to take for anyone wanting to learn the in’s and out’s of creating a responsive website. The pace of the course can sometimes be a little fast but that is why the pause, rewind and play buttons exist. Keep up the good work!
Alaa Alzahrani –
I enjoyed it so much, such an experience
Kundan Kumar –
too many topics are skipped by the instructor. not cool.
Matt R –
Yes it is a good match for me. I used to web develop years ago so I am using this as a refresher course as well as learning the newer HTML5 & CSS3 techniques.
Pedro Quintanilha Martins –
Wow Jonas! Thanks again for this amazing course! It’s the second course I make form your courses on Udemy and I really love your method! As I said also about the Javascript Course, your simple steps method make it very easy to follow through the course and we can actually understand why it’s done, instead of just how it’s done.

Sanne B –
Pace is too slow for now
Kale Branch –
I learnt a lot in this course. A couple of times I had to go back because it was moving fast but overall I was satisfied with the course 🙂
Pallab Das –
Very good,in depth learning . Jonas is rock start and passionate in coding. Only time gap created problem for me to select from reference website during writing the HTML and JS. I think I need to work more on JS. A multi page website example course will be a good addition. Above all definitely recommended.
Joe Gelman –
Great

Sam J Richardson –
Very clear instructions and explanations at a good pace
Santosh Kendre –
Very good explanation in simple words.
Bradley Amor –
Fantastic course, the only reason it did not receive full 5 stars is some of the content is slightly outdated and it would be great if some of this was noted (even if its updated scripts with the links in a resource folder, rather than a new video). I learnt so much from this course and will be doing other courses by Jonas.
Mark Goffin –
This is an amazing course as far as the name is concerned. I knew nothing about HTML and CSS before this. I didnt build the website in the course as I had one I wanted to work on and it was my first. Using these lecturers, it looks pretty sweet. This course also teaches you to be VERY accurate as a missing ; or > can cause the pages to not look as desired. However, I could not give it the full 5 stars as I found section 7 which dives in to JQuery to be too complicated as my version of brackets (the software recommended to use for the course) kept saying my code had errors even though it matched in every way the version on the lectures.
Minh Do –
Excellence course for beginner like me. But the sound quite small i have to wear headphone all the time
Harish Malvi –
good

This course was very informative and overall a nice introduction to web development. For myself it served as a refresher and I could not be happier I took this course. Jonas has an optimistic and energetic demeanor to his teaching style. This is helpful for dealing with subject material that can be confusing and complex. If you are interested in getting into web development taking this course would be highly beneficial. The only suggestion I would make is to update the entire course. In the digital era anything made in 2015 seems decades old.
Danny Swanger –
Course was very good and helpful. Was a little difficult because of course age and upgrades to many of the elements and tools used.
Animesh Mishra –
The course is not at all detailed and is the teacher does not explain all the concepts throughly. Along with that the course is not at engaging with the very boring voice and speaking style of the instructor. Truly, I had expected better than this after seeing the introductory video.
Adam –
Great information and taught HTML/CSS in a way that was easy to understand and follow.
Thomas Whitehouse –
Excellent course for somebody looking to learn the fundamentals of HTML and CSS along with a whole range of extras introduction to more modern CSS, jQuery and website optimization.
Yash Shah –

Saksham Sharma –
