Todd McLeod is an amazing teacher who has structured the course in such a way that a person with any programming experience can grasp Go. The inja exercises at the end of each chapter helps one to practice and test their understanding immediately on the concept learned in the previous videos. He also navigates through the godoc for each and every concept which helps one to learn a new concept in Go by themselves which is not covered in the course by themselves. Good points. 1. Lots of great information in here. Its worth the money Bad points 1. The delivery style is somewhat different from normal, I mean drinking a can of beer in one lesson (Dude!) and going off on tangents, so I found made the course harder to follow than it needs to be. 2. The lessons are too long , the explanations sometimes repeated and much could be said with far fewer words. 3. The channels lessons , I found confusing and should be improved. The Golang Docs are far more understandable and better presented (IHMO)

This video training is so poorly prepared and appears to be constantly changing; he is updating resource documents WHILE DOING THE TRAINING! Hence, the resources document he references is, of course, out of date and different from his published links. The professed teacher at times goes too quickly over beginner topics which demand some simple bu fundamental explanation; so he does not necessarily explain what he is doing at any given time. Often it appears he is doing things clearly for the first time, as if he didn’t even try a dry run before he started shooting the video! Come on. Seriously? I have been a software developer for 35 years and I have never seen a supposed training video so confusing. And when you don’t have the proper resources to start (like his Goland settings file), following his lead is nearly impossible.

Its not a classroom course. Its online course. People want to learn it quickly. Contents are unnecessarily made long. Even presentation is also not full screen. Instead of showing own face..it would have been better if the presentation contains full screen. This is just an average course, just like One eyed , among the blinds . Only good thing is the topic coverage. But again it could have been easily made concise and short.

TLDR: i would recommend this for people with a light background in software dev. If you already have a background in software development then it’s too basic for you, reading the Godoc will probably be more interesting. If you have 0 dev knowledge then the course is ok but you might benefit from a more complete thorough explenation on some complex topics handled is just a couple minutes here.
