Unity Game Development Academy by Devslopes
This is the most comprehensive course on Unity 3d on the Internet. We are avid game developers and were tired of all the junk out there – teaching students how to make 3D cubes without real world game development.
This Unity course is for absolute beginners & for seasoned programmers!
This course will take you down a guided learning path. You’ll learn to code in C# and then go on to build 2D & 3D games.
Not only will you build games, but you will learn how to do it the way the pros do. We’ll even cover advanced topics like lighting, cinematics, and multiplayer.
Here are some of the things you will learn:
And don’t forget about our FREE chatroom where you can get live help, interact with the community, and find people to start your own game studio.
Now is the time to learn how to code and build Unity 3d games the Devslopes way!

I love that we dive into a real example right away and can learn scripting and the Unity interface in context with game related activities. I wish there had been more explanation of certain actions e.g. the decision to write a script for the Tile object specifically. If we don’t want to go into it right now because it’s just an overview, maybe a quick why and some linked resources to investigate if we wanted to.

Awesome, funny and much more
Vin McHenry –
Instructors know their stuff and work hard to present it in easy to understand chunks
Gerard Poirier –
Very nice introduction to the course, it was entertaining 🙂

The instructor clearly walks you through a lot of common concepts in game development. Would be even better if he give his reasoning about choosing one approach over another.

Obwohl ich mich mit Programmieren schon gut auskenne und auch mit C# habe ich das Tutorial sehr genossen und es ist alles sehr Anf nger freundlich, sowohl im Coding als auch was Unity angeht

It’s a little off in terms of time, like it’s in the past while i’m in the future, but he can’t help that

Ive already voice my many concerns in the Q&A, if you buy this then you will probably also notice all the problems and lazy video structures. The Q&A has been abandoned. however if I was to give this course anything below 5 stars for the price then it wouldn’t be fair. This course (for the price) is defiantly worth it! (I mean the discount price of 10 15 ish. lets be honest who actually buys the courses for full price). Ive done many unity udemy courses and each one provides many different answers and knowledge on C# coding. This course is no different. infact its one of the best for that. (ill give you one example , this is the only course ive done that explains how to ignore in game mouse clicks , when clicking on the UI) . This course is very shabby but is brilliant (for its price) ! compared to most of the courses out there , this one actually shows you more how tos and its got a massive range of different functions you can use for making your own games in the future. I would really recommend this course for people who already know the basics. if you are a complete beginner , go do a very basic course first. like GameDev or Rajas beginners course (here on udemy). Those courses are great for absolute beginners but not much else. Then defiantly comeback to this one. I another thing I appreciate about these guys is that they don’t post these videos on youtube or copy and paste their old youtube videos in (that are still available) and call it a course . Some udemy instructors will do both and it seems wrong to charge someone for lessons you are still giving for free.

A little outdated but still relavent, good so far.

I like that the instructor is straight to the point. Past courses I’ve taking is too long and repetitive.

I really wish this course was good because the projects seem super cool, but the course and the teaching is SO unbelievably sloppy that it’s really hard to follow. The videos are unedited you’ll run into situations where the teacher made a mistake, realizes it and then just cuts to the next topic without even addressing what happened. The teacher didn’t prepare any materials and just wings it, hoping things will be clear, and unfortunately they’re not because he constantly stumbles even when typing the code, so it’s riddled with errors all over the place. Nobody’s answering questions in the Q&A from years ago, much less recent ones. Just don’t waste your money, look for a course that at least some care has been put into, cause this one is just sloppy all the way.

The course starts out well with Mark taking the lead, that section was very well done and I actually learned a lot. The tower defence section however was where things started taking a massive downward turn. The code logic was sketchy at best, the course structure was sloppy, I do not like videos that are 25 30 minutes long, cut them down into more, smaller videos. I stopped before completing the second section, got a refund and moved onto another course by different teachers.

The course was not bad, but it’s lacking majorly in explanation of the Minecraft section and the multiplayer section is out dated. The coding practices in this course are very bad, they over complicate most things. Overall I have learnt some valuable information as an intermediate Unity user however I don’t recommend this course, it’s out dated and not structured properly.

The course covers wide variety of topics and the games made here actually look good, thanks for the assets included. The manner of the tutorial is very engaging, fun, simple and effective, most hosts are really great. But there’s a downside too in in 2020: it’s a bit outdated (made with Unity 5 which is from 2015), which means some complications with deprecation as well as the authors not necessarily are up for answering every single question for years on end. But for me personally this is probably one of the best courses I’ve ever bought, and special big thanks to Jonathan Burgoyne for the amazing opportunity! 🙂

Horrible explanation, if any at all in the first video.
