Actually i was not an absolute beginner, so i found this course pretty useful to me to remind things i forgot for no reason. It was a good revision for me, but what i think is a little more of depth knowledge should be given if its meant to be for beginners. Actually my point of saying is not that the course was not good, but the beginners must know why to use?, when to use? and particularly how to use?. Overall, it was a great experience and thanks Nate Sir and Udemy for this great fun learning course.

At the GUI Part, It seems that the instructor’s method only works on macOS. I did it on Windows, but it can not show button.

Great beginner course on Java and appreciate the separations within the different material. It then jumps to advance level towards the end with the practical real world examples. It would benefit to slow it down in that last bit or reference the source code.

This course is awesome. If you are coming from another language, it will be very easy to relate to because of good explanations. You can also fast forward some explanations of basic concepts like variables, functions, classes (if you already know) and only watch the Java coding. I did the course in 4 hours including practicing and it depends on your earlier programming experience.

Until this point it seems to cover what I need: Java basics: how to start writing an application. Only thing I think is a little annoying is that if the instructor types something he is kind of fast so I can’t follow on the screen directly. So I watch the video, pause, rewind and watch again or write down on paper what he is saying. Instructions are clear, I do miss some of the basic concepts whe it comes to deeper understanding of why things are done a certain way.

This was the very basic of basic classes and exactly what I needed. If you’re very new to Java, and programming, give it a try. For someone with programming experience, this is probably too basic. I’ve taken other Java intro courses and stopped, started again, then stopped again. This is the first java course that makes me want to keep learning and doing.
