This course covers all of the fundamentals of 3d modeling game assets. These techniques will allow students to create identical replicas of their concept characters or objects. First, it will show students the finished product, and then run through the whole step by step process of creating that particular model. The techniques presented in this course, are very effective and allow game modelers to quickly develop stand alone props to populate environments and game levels.
The course includes the latest modeling techniques combined with tried and tested processes to provide a leg up for artists new to game modeling work, so that they can hit the ground running and achieve professional results.

It was very detailed. The instructor explained everything step by step.

Not very engaging. Does not cover the UI very well. If you do not know how to use 3d max then you will run into many questions after the class. One question in particular…. How to set the units of measure. This is very important when modeling for games. You don’t want your game to be making changes to your size. That would be a large drain on the comps resources. Right from the get go he starts working on the project, which is nice but then never really explains where to get images from, to trace. I have not been through many lectures yet but it seems like he is just talking to one of his friends about how he uses the program. He seems to forget that he is trying to teach someone how to use it.

The instructor’s voice is very low and unclear, I had to repeat several times just to hear what was unclear, and the course is good in general, but it needed to cover fire and smoke and other effects in games. Other than that, the courses are very helpful, and I’ve enjoyed it very much.

Audio Quality isn’t very good. The materials are really interesting. Just need to improve the audio. The instructor is very knowledgable in 3D Modeling and texturing.

Besides, it should have subtitles

so far, no, it seems to be taught by a very young person who is still learning the software themselves. but they have good order of operations so it could be worse.

Its borring. Teacher is really borring. Teacher also is not teaching each options, button, menu etc in a step by step manner.

Well, I am using 3DS 2019 edition on windows while the teacher is using 2016 (I think) on a MAC. Most things are spot on but the unwrap uvw does not work as intended. Most likely some newer features I need to read about to get it working right.

The course is fine, it kind of feels like he is demonstrating more than teaching the class. Maybe if he explained techniques and purpose more it would be a nicer class.
