So far im enjoying this course.

I have taken John’s courses before and this is no exception. Even at only the third lecture I can see that this is going to be well taught.

After I got this course I was disappointed… Why because no game art was used. After purchasing other courses with game art, I came back still unable to complete my prototype. Completed Zombie Run and half of Lane Avoid projects. With the simple yet effective techniques learned my prototype is done and my gamer son remarked he would play it. Thank You!

Can get a tiny bit fast/confusing, but for the most part it is going really well and is easy to follow.

why not? Instructor is explanation is easy and one can understand clearly. I am glad I picked this person and his tutorial. Keep up the good work
Damir Kovacevic –
I use it to teach a kid how to make games and it has nice, gradual, progression, in small chunks of both time and new information

great course!

This is a good course for total beginners with Construct 2. Learned a lot of mechanics that will be useful to create my own games. Some parts are a bit repetitive and it sad that it don’t teach how to avoid copy and paste with programmation. But it’s useful if you’re new to development and Construct 2

helpful tutorial

One minor point, but I would like to see a sample of the end product before starting so it gives the individual lessons a bit more context by allowing you to understand how it fits in the completed game.

As a beginner, I found the course to be easy to understand. Video learning is a more practical way for the learner to see how things are done and correct mistakes they make along the way. One critique is that a few of the lessons are repeated in some lectures or use the wrong videos which may confuse the learner who cannot easily adapt to resolve the issue. It is not a major issue for some learners as more of the steps are repeated several times throughout the course but in some cases, it may not be easy for others.
