Serverless computing will shape the future of web development since it allows you to get rid of many issues raditional web hosting poses.
Now’s the time to dive into this exciting new technology!
Unlike in traditional web hosting, where you spin up servers, configure them and then deploy your code, in serverless applications, you don’t manage any servers! Instead, you only provide your code and define when it should get executed. Done!
Without managing any servers, you typically pay way less (since you got no overhead capacity), can react much better to incoming traffic spikes and don’t have to worry about server security!
For these very reasons, it’s no wonder that serverless computing is on the rise, with more and more companies adopting it! Learn it now to gain an edge and either use it for your own projects or apply for high–paid jobs!
What does this course offer then?
This course will introduce you to serverless computing and then quickly dive into how to build serverless apps with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Specifically, you will learn:
how you can build a REST API without worrying about servers, using AWS API Gateway
to set up your on–demand code via AWS Lambda

I don t normally leave a rating until I ve finished a course (I ll update this once I do) but this is extraordinarily well put together. I m not too far into it and it s amazing how well things are clicking. I feel very confident in all the information that s being presented.

Yes great match, I am familiar with most of the concepts but this course so far bring the bigger picture nicely together, weather the aim was to learn more about the architecture, design or development
George Dawson –
The material and exercises were excellent but I will likely not be using them professionally due to my role. Familiarity with the tools and capabilities will help.

Since this course is from 2017 it is very outdated in terms of AWS console and it is really hard to follow for the beginners.
Alireza Ansarinik –
Really good
Sebastian Goe –
Very good introduction into Serverless APIs and Apps with AWS. Everything still works as shown, although the course dates back to 2017. Changes since then are well documented within the course or the Q&A. Another great course by Maximilian!

Max is a brilliant instructor I have purchased many of his courses on React, Angular, typescript. He is very gifted in the way he explains things. This course though is getting out of date not really his fault but it’s always a risk when you teach AWS using the UI console I feel. It would be better to teach this content via the serverless framework which is easy to understand and ensures the content stays up to date for much longer. AWS change things very quickly
Leslie de Jager –
A really good introduction to AWS. I personally wished for a bit more information and examples in certain sections but as an introduction, this is brilliant.
Gurudutt Mallapur –
The amount of detail and relevant background context is the right amount. Having worked with REST API I could make the connections. Maybe giving a short intro into REST APIs might help students who don’t have such a background though.
