Do you want an easy to follow tutorial on Asterisk?
Are you overwhelmed by the complexity of the Asterisk configuration?
Do you have little to no experience with Linux?
Are you trying to build an Asterisk phone system?
Many years ago I was very interested in learning Asterisk to replace my employers old phone systems. I spent a lot of time reading the documentation, using Google to search the internet and any book I could get my hands on. Even with all of this I was never able to build a working Asterisk phone system. I was very frustrated and was about to give up but then a friend of mine offered to tutor me. He showed me simple step by step training starting with how to compile Asterisk software then going all the way through to configuring a working Asterisk phone system. Within a few days I had the confidence and Asterisk skills to take any computer and turn it into a working Asterisk phone system.

I like the way the instructor teaches, but the material is pretty outdated. You can install a working sip with the software she uses, but it s very old. He uses version 11 of Asterix, and does a quick review of version 13, but right now even version 17 is out. I had somewhat of a hard time even trying to find version 11. If the course is updated I would be happy to update my review.

i have some linux background , that helped. i liked the fact that the asterisk training start of as if i know nothing about asterisk proper beginners course. i nearly had the same errors/results with every step.

Very interactive and informative. Only issue I had was that the course started with Aterisk 11, and I was following using a newer version (Asterisk 16 on CentOS 8 VM). Would be helpful if Bonus Lab was placed 1st or a notification was placed in the beginning of the course to look through Bonus Lab 1st. Nonetheless I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be rebuilding my Asterisk server and playing around from scratch.
