A Gentle Introduction To ASP.NET Web Forms For Beginners
$24.99 $14.99Track price
There are a number of flavors of ASP.NET, Web Forms (Web Sites and Web Applications), Model–View–Controller (MVC) , Razor Pages and the newest one Blazor. This course is aimed at anyone who wants to create dynamic websites using all these models , with ASP.NET Web Forms as the starting point.
ASP.NET is the Microsoft platform for developing Web Applications. Using ASP.NET you can create e–commerce sites, data driven portals and just about anything else you can find on the internet. Best of all, you don’t need to paste together a jumble of HTML and JavaScript code. Instead you can create full scale web apps by leveraging your knowledge of C# coding and a design tool like Visual Studio.
In recent years Microsoft has added MVC (Model View Controller) and Razor pages which offer different ways to build dynamic web pages. To some , MVC and Razor pages are cleaner and more suited to the web. To others , it’s a whole lot of extra effort with no clear payoff. Either way, it’s good to have a strong knowledge of all of these web application programming models before moving onto the most future forward choice …. Blazor.
We cover all these models at a beginners level and offer a multitude of practical applications.

I haven’t gotten far enough into it to really have an opinion yet.

I’ve been working with a ASP.NET contractor and even though we are in VS2017, It appears so far a good start and fit to taking over.

Charlie has always been quick to respond to questions which in itself makes him one of the best tutors on Udemy hands down. I have signed up with dozens of courses including this subject matter but the tutors sadly don’t come back if I have a question, or the course content is outdated by the time they do. (sad but true :/) This course was a fantastic grounding in various methods of web app development which for me has been a huge boon. Everything learned here has helped me create an intranet for my work and a library of tools for my colleagues and while Charlie introduces this course as basic, it has taught me more than I could have hoped. Thanks Charlie and looking forward to getting through more courses with you.

This course is a very good hand holding course that resembles the ‘Dummies’ books. I like it very much

This course should have a different title. Apart from the excellent structure and the convincing presentation style of the lecturer, the course offers everything that is mentioned in the title, but much more. I usually develop desktop applications and scripts, but I have had to offer ASP.NET Web Forms as a supplement over and over again in recent years. Unfortunately, I never really got used to it. However, ASP.net Core, Razor and Blazor piqued my interest. But I never knew where to get the time to familiarize myself with. Until I found this course. Charlie has always expanded this course and explained the basics of Razor etc. And most importantly for me, he helped me to figure out a possible migration path from ASP.net to Blazor. Excellent!
