This course is for beginning programming students who are struggling with understanding how to solve programming problems. I’ll be showing you how I go about solving problems; how to break everything down into something easy to understand and easy to program. We’ll be using C++ as our programming language of choice. C++ is a very powerful and versatile language that is a very good language to start making games with. We’ll go deep and try to understand how things really work on the computer at a low level. We’ll make several games as practice and I’ll show you all my tips and tricks in order to solve the problems we come across.

Jiehui Huang –
the lecturer talks in this slow hyptonic tone that is putting me to sleep.
Pieter Paauw –
The focus on the mental model(s) of programming and to not start with code but with input/output/algorithm
Matthew Evans –
He explains the problem solving process.
Donny Bereznak –
Slow, and seems unsure of himself
Sascha Gr ndken –
Sehr interessante rangehensweise des Tutors
Aedon L Bokkes –
I wish the guy was louder

I feel the content is very slow and while that may be right for some people to learn C++ it is then amplified by the narrators slow speech and frequent pauses. I’m watching at 1.75x speed and still find it slow.

Although the course started off very basic i found it good to get a different perspective on planning out a build with this being one of my weaker skills, this should hopefully prevent rewrites in the future. I have learned a few things along the way too and look forward to continuing this course and getting to the exciting parts however i always like to refresh on the basics and get different perspectives that may work better for me.

The only thing bugging me is the volume to be honest. Its pretty low in my opinion. Other than that, great lecturing overall.
Maxwell Childerhose –
amazing

I’m loving this course! I have a little but of experience with coding, but I love the slow methodical approach that he uses to teach coding! I can’t wait to actually dive in to making games! It’s been a dream of mine to build video games since I was young and I’m finally starting to believe that it’s possible because of this course!
Joshua Waheed –
Really good course. As a beginner C++ programmer, this course has improved my understanding of it a little bit more. I look forward to doing part two of this course, which is programming C++ games with object oriented programming. Thank you.
Bhawesh Gupta –
good
Steven Pascoe –
Absolutely Fantastic clear and easy to understand
Lubna Sorour –
very informative but speaks very slowly, 10/10 explanation but only if you listen to it at 1.25 speed
