Build Spring Boot Apps with the Kotlin Programming Language
$84.99 $14.99Track price
Kotlin is a programming language for the JVM (and also for Javascript and native code too) which was created by JetBrains – the company behind the IntelliJ IDE. It offers a number of enhancements over Java, including that it’s less verbose, has immutable variables, and almost always gets rid of the NullPointerException. Compared to other JVM languages, such as Scala, Kotlin is an easy transition for Java developers, and the Kotlin team hope that it will eventually replace Java alltogether!
In this course we learn how to code in Kotlin, with a particular focus on how to build full stack Spring Boot applications with Kotlin.
This course is aimed at existing Spring Framework Java developers who want to upgrade their skills to use Kotlin instead of (or as well as) Java.

Pawel Ryznar –
Content itself is good, well explained, but i feel like it’s too much about Kotlin itself, and too less about Kotlin+Spring.
Justin Nwanya –
It is probably the best Kotlin course for someone already experienced in Java. I enjoyed the course.
Aniwange –
fine so far, really enjoying it
Vedran Maricevic –
Great explanations. Easy to understand, and in short very professional.
Oleg Fedoliak –
This is a very good Kotilin course. Recommended to everyone who is learning Kotlin. Though I expected a little bit more Spring Boot explanations. Also, the author is not very strict in spaces and formatting in general, but that is really minor.
Hitesh Kumar Garg –
Course is good but one thing I dont really like is that the font is really small specially when you have to study using your phone. and there is no way in the app to zoom out the video as well
Rafael P rez –
Nice course. It covers the basics of Kotlin. Talking about the Spring content, well, is just a quick introduction, but is useful if you are starting with Kotlin.
Krishnakumar –
Simple explanation, easy to follow. Great trainer
Dinesh Kandpal –
helpful

The text is very small. It’s hard to see on the tablets. The course covers just basic things. The code in exercise 3 somehow looks quite messy.
Julija Lisaja –
The code is very hard to see. My eyes hurt the whole course and I constantly had to enlarge the screen. This is inconvenient when trying to work with IDE. Also, information about Spring Boot is negligible. About 70% of the course is an introduction to the main Kotlin functions. This may be useful information, but the course title is misleading, because I expected more about Spring Framework. I wish the author to improve his methods of presenting information.

Awesome tutorial to kickstart learning Kotlin. Can you make another tutorial with APIs and Angular?
Andrey Andreyev –
Excessive explanations about Kotlin basics and almost nothing about Spring Boot magic. @Service @Repository @Controller? @Autowired?… How do I deal with Configuration?
Jonathan Moore –
Great example on spring boot with Kotlin.
Artur Markevych –
It was useful and interesting. I’ve learned essential kotlin things.
