This Course is FULLY UPDATED for current needs!
This AJAX course will teach you what AJAX is and how to start using it with PHP to create excellent web applications like a chat system. AJAX is all around us, just type something in the GOOGLE search bar and you will automatically see words appear in the input, that’s the AJAX. If you really want to make web applications better and interactive for the users then you really need to learn AJAX.
Ajax makes you work asynchronously, asynchronously means without page reload. Let me share the actual definition of AJAX here:
The method of exchanging data with a server, and updating parts of a web page – without reloading the entire page
I will first teach you AJAX methods on JavaScript and then in jQuery and then we will move on to chat application. Source code is also available so that you can test it and make changes and put your own ideas into that.
Following is what my students are saying about the course:
This man is a stud. Very efficient with this choice of words to give you hell of an explanation of whats going on. Good stuff brotha stay at it. – Seena Khoee

Excellent course to learn Ajax in both Java script and JQuery. No unwanted stuff. The course does not waste your time. After taking this course I am able to code the Ajax requests. I think may can do the same. Thanks a lot to the Instructor for explaining clearly.
Edgar Cesar Martinez Bazarte –

Being an instructor myself I have certain expectations. The explanations were not always clear, he moved very quickly over various topics including how Ajax works the only thing he told us was the Ready States and the Status, but he never really explained what these even meant. He types quickly without necessarily explaining everything he’s typing and bouncing between JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS and PHP can be very confusing, he just does it without explaining differences, why you do certain things, etc. Glad I didn’t pay full price for the course.

I like the way this instructor explains complicated subject matter. He also uses just the right amount of repetition to make his point. Very very good, so far. [update] Finished the course, and earlier comment still stands. Excellent real world example. Have saved the finished code to refer to as I work on my own projects. Thanks!

This course is really good so far.. and i appreciate its approach as training in AJAX / JQUERY data fetching and posting will enable me to know the code base for Cordova / PhoneGap server integration…or at least have a good idea how it is set up..

There’s a reason the chat app isn’t previewed in the course promotion there’s not much there, it’s bare bones, there is allot of work that needs to be done to make it functionally appealing. I think if someone is advertising instruction on a chat app, they should instruct creating a functional chat app one that has attributes that users would expect: ex. left right chat messages, timestamps, a div that scrolls etc. this chat app is Mickey Mouse. If I wanted simple ajax without additional chat application structure a simple Google search would suffice. Other than that instruction is clear. Glad I purchased on sale 😉

It is well explained and examples are interesting, I think, however, that this course should be presented as an introduction to AJAX, since there are several things that AJAX will be regularly used for and that are not even mentioned, such as File upload, input validation, input based autofill or Typeahead, nevertheless, I did learn on the course and I have a much better idea of what AJAX is and how is used, thanks!
