Manager QA Luke –
Finally a good course on latest WebdriverIO version 5, thank you!
Mark Cilia –
Some pre requirements would be helpful if mentioned such as Node.js will need to be pre installed etc. Also some further explanation about absolute beginners could also be given perhaps after intro
Joseph Testing –
Very good course easy to understand and follow.
Sam Obafemi –
Adequate to get someone going quickly.
Andrea Spoehrer –
This is the only course I found that quickly gets you up to speed on webdriverio v5. Most courses are still using webdriverio v4 and the sytax is so different so you still have to dig to find conversions to get yourself productive. Thanks for this course. I have been on a rapid path of learning selenium, js and webdriver so this tool and course have really boosted me forward. Rockstar!
Sablatura QA Automation –

Course is good and easy to follow, also its on latest version. It’s good to start with but not a complete guide for WDIO more example for different interactions should be added. Instructor is active for Q&A.

Basic Understanding

Can’t finish the set up. Never heard back from instructor. I watched the videos to try to get something out of it. Jumps into things quickly. A little intro about the types especially page object patterns would have been helpful.

The course is decent but could be definitely better. The biggest weaknesses: 1) structure why is the JS section at the end and not at the beginning? For 60 lessons we use npm, node.js to learn what it is in 61st… 2) v2 structure the lessons are extremely extended (in relation to the content they contain). Example: Bonus: Jenkins Server Script separate lesson (3 min) about adding 1 (one) script line, analogous to the one created earlier 3) repetitions lectures Hands on Page Objects part 1 3 are basically the same. Generally, if the course had 4 hours and 30 lectures it would be ok. But you have the irresistible impression that the lessons are created and extended just to make the summary look more spectacular 4) some of the tasks are described in very general terms, after over 60 lessons I still don’t know why we set up Babel. Ok, we did it, but for what? Also, the issue of installing Jenkins was too shallow there are a lot of problems there 5) nothing about mobile testing at a time when 90% of the clients of some sites use mobile devices, and this often forces additional scrolling or other selectors and many many aditional stuff 6) no tips & tricks section > what common problems can you come across and how to deal with them. There is no practical approach, only going through the functions from the documentation

Great Course! just wish some of the videos should not be uploaded if they are not finish or having issues with it.
Delvinkumar P –
Good course for beginners. Would have been great if CI/CD were covered in more detail. Would be nice if async concepts were a bit more elaborate and illustrative.

Pros: Clear and easy to understand course content Short and clear videos helps focusing in the content Works for people with limited knowledge on Automation Cons Some course videos are outdated and should be updated. An example of this can be the initial setup Course has some structure problems (For example duplicated videos at the end) Even though the course is getting updated, the updates were not reachable when I finished this course (07/13/2021). This may be an Udemy Side Problem
