Hi, and welcome to the Begin Unity Programming course, my name is Yohann and I’m famous for having helped tens of thousands of students to make games and publish them in the app stores. My courses have hundreds of 5 star reviews on Udemy alone. If you want to build a game portfolio, then you found the right instructor.
This course is the go to course to get started making games with Unity. If you’re either new to Unity or have little experience with it then this course is for you.
You will start by familiarizing yourself with Unity’s user interface . Then we’re learn about key concepts to understand the mechanics used to make professional games, and finally we’ll get into the fundamentals of programming using the great programming language called c sharp. Now, if you’ve never programmed before or if you’re not very comfortable with programming, then you’re going to like this course. Contrary to most instructors on this platform, I have been teaching programming in University for more than 7 years, and I am confident that this time you will get it.
This course is all about hands on training, if you’re like me and you’d rather learn by doing rather than listening to a boring instructor then this course is for you.
Programming is everywhere, it’s inside of games, websites, cars, and even coffee machines. The skills you’ll learn here are applicable to so many projects, i can’t tell you enough how this course will be key to a better future for you.
About the course:
The course is broken down in short, easy to digest chunks. Now right at the beginning we go straight into downloading Unity and work on a project that’s based on a game that is published in the app stores. You get to work on a real game, not just some random useless project. You can follow along whether you’re using a Windows computer, Linux or Mac.

Lot of usefull things to know for a beginner.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I am not a programmer, not a graphic designer, and not a an IT professional. However, I have very good general IT knowledge of many software of Windows. I have watched so many YouTube videos to get my feet warm before stepping into game design, and I have bought other courses in Udemy. But none of them helped as this one. In this course, Yohanne explains everything the starter may need to understand how things works, and the purpose of each tool. I am very excited to complete the course, and thanks a lot Yohanne, very well done!!

The course content is well laid out for beginner to Unity and C#. It has all the necessary elements to prepare a student for other courses of higher level. Instructor explains the connection between Unity and C# and how to play with variables in between these two, which I think is important in the game development process. All the skills learnt here will help to speed my learning in advancing courses.

Good for beginners.
Jaco Dijkshoorn –
Great, fast paced but very well structured in many short exercises. Easily done in 1 day with a bit of focus.

Yohann explains key concepts but if you are a Total beginner is probably not a course for you. Don’t think this course is good value for money, especially for somebody who knows nothing about coding.
Matthew Armstrong –
Good introduction to Unity. Informative and easy to follow.

It’s a great start in programming. The examples are good and will show you the basics. For me it was a great introduction to Unity but I guess that it’s also a good start in getting acquainted with programming.

The instructions are in bite sizes that are perfect for a complete beginner. The only thing that I find challenging is transposing the instructions for my version of Unity (2018.2).
Gibril Njie –
Great tutorial. Very highly recommended
Jameel Rashid –
Easy to follow

This course is aimed at making you able to build basic games using Unity not to teach you C# and for that, it does the job. If you’re learning other coding languages or even C# in another course or you already know a coding language, this course will strike you as overly simple. So if that describes you, you got no business taking this course. Otherwise, this is a good course to stoke interest and get you on the road to making games. If you like it, you will search for more knowledge. I’m in the process of learning Python, C++ and C but I’m curious about Unity so, I’m enjoying a peek into how it works. Seeing C#, I can see the similarities and I understand iteration and loops but didn’t know you used them for character generation, but then it makes sense. So I did learn something important!

The course is essential if you want to start something more advanced. let’s say is the box where you’ll need to put all what you’ll learn later. Is not a full 5 stars for the lack of practical exercises between lessons.

i had a very good experience till now. I hope to learn everything which will help me to create a good mobile game or pc. Thanx for your guide.
