Cryptocurrencies are all the rage right now. Wouldn’t it be cool to build a website that shows Crypto news automatically? That’s what we’ll learn in this course!
We’ll build a website using Django (version 2.0.7) and Python (version 3.7.0) and Bootstrap (version 4.1.1) that connects to a free third party crypto API.
We’ll be able to pull news stories, crypto price data, and all kinds of cool stuff, and output it onto the screen of our website automatically.
Who Should Take This Course?
This course is aimed at the beginner. You don’t need to know Python, or Django, or Bootstrap…or anything at all…to take this course. I’ll walk you through it all; step by step. If you already know the basics of any of those things, you’ll be fine too. You’ll still learn some cool things along the way!
What Tools Do You Need To Take This Course?
You don’t need any special tools to take this course. We’ll be downloading everything we need for free. I’m on a Windows computer, but if you’re on a Linux or a Mac, you’ll be able to follow along just fine. (They’re will be a few different commands for mac users, but I’ll try to point them out along the way)

GREAT COURSE, BUT NOT FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS A nice, quick intro to Django. Doesn’t go into too much explanation, but it’s short and will get you up and running soon and you can build simple websites using Django after doing this course if you already have a background in web development. While complete beginners can still code along, they probably will not leave with an understanding of why things work the way they work as that is beyond the scope of this course. But for people with a bit of experience, this course offers a nice and easy way to play around with a new framework. This course does not cover how to serve static files like images and custom CSS and JavaScript, and it also doesn’t cover connecting to a database and user authentication. Like I said, this is an introductory course, and if you want to learn those, you need to look elsewhere. Nevertheless, this course, though limited in its scope (but what more can you expect from a 1.5 hour course?), serves really well as an intro to Django for web developers with a basic understanding of how the web and back end development works. This course might be a struggle for those who don’t know what an API is and what it means to fetch data from an external API, or who don’t know how templating engines work. Terminology like views might be hard to grasp for those who’ve never heard of MVC before. Also, the Bootstrap code might seem like Greek and Latin to absolute beginners. However, for more experienced developers with little time on their hands, this short course offers enough of the fundamentals of Django to help you learn more as you go.

I was initially hesitant about buying this course, as the it’s pretty short relative to other, similarly priced courses, and I was worried about wasting my money for only a couple of hours of content. I did buy it because I figured if I didn’t think it delivered enough value then I could always return it. After completing it I can now say that it was completely and totally worth it. Almost every second is packed with information. Not a minute of my time was wasted. As some others have said, it’s not for complete beginners. You should have some programming/python knowledge, and it would help to have a little HTML knowledge as well. I wish I could give this course more than 5 stars. I’ll be checking with this instructor in the future before buying a course from anyone else.

Very nice course. It’s concise and clear and definitely what I want. Thanks a lot.
M Sideknaim Bin Bohari –
Very good for someone who is new to programming language and at the same time feeling dreadful learning about theory(loop, if else etc). In this course you will see immediately the website that you are currently code.
Sadeek Been –
You are a excellent teacher, this one of best teaching experiences in programming I ever had. Even better then my professors. Awesome. I will be take more course from you in the future.
Devanshi Verma –
Amazing course!
Stock Wang –
This is a good course
Eric Kvale –
Great at explaining concepts!
Ian Williams –
I liked the teaching style it seemed much more fluid ad laid back, rather than scripted.
Badr Yahya Ghazwani –
bad course, instructor goes way too fast, types stuff and barely explains it..
Casey Manalansan –
Simple and straight to the point without complicated jargon
Florent Herisson –
The course itself was concise and clear on the subject. My only regret about it is that there is no section on how to publish it online. And publishing a Django app, for a novice, is actually a bit difficult.
