Awesome teaching and thank you for this course and your jokes to keep us moving. Mostly I liked the simplicity of the app and short videos including his explanations. I have coded a couple of ruby on rails applications here on udemy but this is the first one I have completed. Thank you again will be looking at getting more of your courses

This is definitely one of the better courses I have taken so far. John does a great job of going over how to build a cryptocurrency portfolio step by step. The videos are in nice bite sized chunks, so you aren’t overwhelmed with too much information and once, and you feel like you are making progress with each video. Definitely recommended if you are looking to learn about developing with Ruby on Rails!

I recommend this course for anyone starting to code with Ruby, the teacher is very dynamic, it is not a boring course at all!

Easy to follow, even for a newbie like me. Useful information and instructor seems to be available to ask questions about the course project.

For me is perfect, pace is fast, direct to the point no wandering, focused on the meat, however for others may not be the right one, like complete beginners. If you’re a complete beginner you may want go check some html and javascript or another language to get the basics, as well as some basic DB stuff and then come back. If not a complete beginner this may be the right one. Course is not too long, lectures are kept under 6 min. each and doesn’t gets into every Ruby syntax detail, which for me is good (you can go and check the Ruby docs for yourself) rather goes straight to the core of building with Rails.

This course is really interesting and a perfect way to start learning Ror in my opinion

I have done a previous course by John, also on Ruby. This one builds on that one so this is becoming familiar for me, especially since he uses the same environment, etc for this course as well (not so much to take in this time round so I can focus on the actual coding what I want to learn)

Bloody brilliant so far. Concise, simple and also efficient.
Duron Epps –

Real cool programmer/instructor. He speaks very clear and its easy to follow along with him. He is basically holding our hand all the way through the end and explaining what everything does as if he was teaching a young child how to code. Real cool guy, definitely recommend. PS. I joined his website (https://codemy.com/) and has a lot of cool other videos to watch and learn for all different types of languages. Hope to go through all his videos and become as good as him

Finally. I have been through several other courses on Rails, this one is by far the best. Quick, straight to the point, no fillers. Wish I had tried this months ago. Do not hesitate to buy this course. If you want to get up and running with Ruby on Rails quickly, this is the one.

A bit simple when you are already familiar with ruby, and a bit hacky in some place imo. However it did what it said on the tin and the focus was on consuming the api and what you can do with it. Interesting use case.

No update for new coinmarketcap api, so need to substitute for another
