You’ll be amazed how quick and easy it is to create very professional looking websites, even if you have no programming or web design experience at all.
Watch over my shoulder as I build a cool Stock Market app step by step right in front of you. You’ll follow along and build your own copy. By the time we’re finished, you’ll have a solid understanding of Django and how to use it to build awesome web apps.
The course contains 39 videos – and is just over 2 hours long. Watch the videos at your own pace, and post questions along the way if you get stuck. You don’t need any special knowledge or software to take this course, though any experience with HTML or CSS is a plus. You don’t even need to know the Python programming language. I’ll walk you through EVERYTHING.
Django is a great web development tool and learning it has never been this easy.
What We’ll Build…

It was a good match since I’m interested in making a finance app. This is somewhat related, and I needed to know how to work with APIs to get information loaded into the application and to perform calculations on it.

This course is awesome! John is a great instructor and everything is very clear, concise. Perfect lectures segments that are not too long. Just some suggestions for John: I think you might consider an option/extra fetching the data once, add it to the database and display it on the screen. There could be an update route for update to be then added to the cron or fetching regularly. I think this would be more efficient and would not call the API x times each time the page gets reloaded. That said the course is really amazing and I enjoyed it a lot. Well done.

know that it is a short video class, don’t expect too much, just hopefully can get some concept of Django. This course actually did that. It would be much better to teach how to save the stock information from api to database(sqlite, or others) rather than just call from api directly, which is very slow.
