This tutorial is antiquated. One of the main reasons I wanted to take this course was to get a better understanding of an OOP database class layout. The instructor demonstrates the very thing I’m looking for using mysql (as appose to mysqli, or PDO). The problem? mysql was deprecated four years ago! Not sure I can go much further unless the instructor answers my questions regarding this situation; which is yet another problem, I can’t get any replies. Udemy has no quality control checks with the tutorials they allow on their site.

Because the course is not updated 🙁 the instructor used an old way (mysql) and don’t use the new way (Mysqli or PDO) . And no response of the author if you ask something. Please update this version !

This course is totally outdated. It was obviously recorded in 2010 and even then it was already antiquated to write programs in this style. This course is not for beginners as there are plenty of examples you have to fix because they do not work anymore. To do that you need to understand more about php then a beginner does. Beginners will not understand most of this, because the author moves on too fast and does not explain enough what he is doing. This course is not helpfull for anyone and should be deleted. No one should code like that today. It is spaghetti code everywhere, it is messy and repetitive. There are much more advanced methods to code today.

Very good course, but some point need more in depth explanations, i had to junk around in the net to find some answers to payapal issues. For me, the paypal part of the course is one of the most important. Else, the teacher speak clearly and not to quick, he know what he is doing. If you are aware that this course isnt a encomstore from scratch, you will learn so mutch from it, that you never will regret your purchase. Anyway, a great thank’s to you Sebastian Sulinski for this course, a realy good job you did here.

Overall, the instructor is well acquainted with the subject matter. The app seems simple but the code is very detailed and would have better if accompanied with some notes.

Outdated course! Please don’t purchase this one. It hasn’t been updated in more then 7 years!

What happens when the tutorial works but my code doesn’t?

Teaching is good. So far so good. I have to admit that the material is not suitable for beginners. The codes are high class; compact; Having said that , I feel this course is good because it stretches you knowledge. A beginner knows what is possible from where he is. He can then do more research and catch up.

Needs updating for PHP7+ users and MySQLi
