I preferred the second of the two courses, as it was far more hands on. The first course was far less practical and was too focused on terminology. The first course also seemed to assume far more previous JS experience than the second. I think both are still worth doing, however I would say the first half could be improved. The second half does have some minor issues as it is using an older version of Angular, especially with rxjs as there have been breaking changes in that library.
