My experience with this course is good and I got to know new things about this course. Thanx for this course.

I have a background in JavaScript so the first half or so was covering what I already knew from that and from a skim read of PHP documentation; that part may work very well for someone who has no coding background, I couldn’t say, but it would have been good to have something on the overview description noting that it’s meant not just for beginners to PHP, but also for beginners to coding languages, and not meant for those with experience in similar languages. I know some SQL, not too well, and found that section didn’t clearly differentiate what parts were PHP specific and what were SQL specific some were obvious, of course, but the syntax was used as a blend without always noting his part is PHP, his part is SQL. Several times the instructor was halfway through a demo and then either changed their mind/decided to do it differently or realised they’d made an error and went back to change it; the latter sometimes made for many little tangents, and both made it harder to follow the train of thought to understand what was being done. It felt like the instructor hadn’t practiced the demo before recording it. My review makes this course sound worse than it is because I wasn’t the target audience for a large part of it; for absolute beginners it will be more helpful. Better information before signing up would have improved my personal experience a lot.

The topics 5 and 6 were not made for beginners, at all. There are no exercises and only one quiz in the whole course. The function and Array section is almost like a link to PHP.net (see all functions there). I am extremely disapponted as I feel like I have learn close to nothing of PHP. The course is extremely fast paced and with close to no explanation to why we are doing things this way, and not another. Don’t recommend this course for any beginner in programming.

Up to now, quite good. The instructor is prepared and transmits his dedication and preparation before recording. Let’s see what section 2 has for us.
