LAST UPDATED: November 2020 – Elasticsearch Version 6
Elasticsearch is the biggest player in the big–data space since Hadoop. I would actually vouch that it’s the Hadoop killer!
It’s just now beginning to gain recognition and wider adoption in the no–sql big–data space and Elasticsearch has come a long way since it’s first release. I’m sure that by just adding Elasticsearch on your linkedin profile your going to gain the attention of various companies investing in this technology. So get excited about Elasticsearch because it is a big deal. The average salary for an Elasticsearch engineer is over $100,000 and the demand for engineers is high.
This course is most suited for people that want to not only power–up their resume with this new and exciting technology but also powerup their applications to be blazing fast by implementing Elasticsearch correctly. I’ve designed this course to be practical and easy to follow by repeating key concepts with step by step instructions and best practices for building a search Engine from scratch.
By the end of this course you’ll know everything there is to know about how to build a search engine using the most recent and popular version of Elasticsearch 6 for your application as well as how to perform powerful realtime analytics on your data.

Peter Nagy –
Very slow and repetitive. It doesn’t go in detail. I think the title masterclass is very misleading, it should be basics for someone who does not have any IT background.
Shawn Brito –
I found the introduction (installation & configuration) to be well written. Although I have setup the ELK many times, this course was insightful.
Prateek Piley –
not on the expected OS, so disappointing.
Fidel Quintela –
Good presenter. Easily understood and tempo was excellent.
Oscar Pouwels –
Goed en duidelijk gesproken, legt de basis voor ELK stack. Kan nog wat meer worden uitgebreid met certificaten, clustering, fluentd, rapportages en security
Sisulu Kula –

Best training for understanding ELK from the professional working perspective. Content is also awesome
Nhat Minh Pham –
I am a devops engineer and I only want some basis of Elasticsearch. I care more about setting up a cluster with ELK stack to get access log, metric log, etc

Ajit Vijay Repal –
Excellent. It was well explained with examples with Sample Data
Shruthi HC –
good
Colleen Purcell –
Explanations are great and he is super clear, circling back to key concepts so you digest them more deeply, but examples aren’t compatible with the current version of ElasticSearch version 7. So if you recreate some of his examples in Kibana, you’ll get errors until he gets to the explanation of the new way to do things.
Max Modesto Wallin –
Really good pace and exhausts the subject, nothing to complain about.

The course in general was helpful. It focus mostly on ElasticSearch and presents just a very brief overview on Logstash, Kibana and Beats. A few recommendations however: I’d prefer to see some organized presentation slides instead of the (bad) drawings, specially in the theoretical part. Some topics were repeated over and over, which I personally found annoying sometimes The talking speed is a bit slow (I’ve watched most of the course in 1.25x speed), which worsens when some topics are repeated multiple times unnecessarily.
