Do you want to learn the popular search engine, Elasticsearch, from the beginning and become a professional in no time? This course is an excellent way for you to quickly learn Elasticsearch and to put your knowledge to work in just a few hours! If so, then you have come to the right place, as this is the most comprehensive course on Elasticsearch that you will find online! This course is a great starting point for anyone who wants to learn the ELK stack and Elastic Stack, as Elasticsearch is at the center of both stacks.
Elasticsearch is an extremely popular search engine and will be an excellent addition to your CV – even if you are already familiar with other search engines or frameworks such as Apache Lucene, Apache Solr, Amazon CloudSearch, etc.
Please note that this course is intended for developers who want to interact with an Elasticsearch cluster in one way or another and not system administrators looking to maintain an Elasticsearch cluster in production. The course focuses on functionality relevant to utilize the capabilities of Elasticsearch as a developer.
The course is a combination of theory and learning by doing. Before giving examples of how to perform certain queries, you will have been equipped with the necessary theory in advance. This ensures that you not only know how to perform powerful searches with Elasticsearch, but that you also understand the relevant theory; you will get a deep understanding of how Elasticsearch works under the hood.

Going through it slowly, and not expecting me to know anything about from before on. It’s good!

I am new to elastic search so the explanation with example that you said is good for me. I feel you explained in detail for each component how it works.

The course is well rounded and insightful, it gives you enough hands on exercises that you will be comfortable with using Elasticsearch. It delivered the promised content and it gives you most of the tools you need for the course. The only part that should be worked on is the last session where, although at that point oneself has already acquired the needed knowledge to use Elasticsearch, the module felt a little bit rushed.

Good content , but the entire topic is delivered with a monotonous naration. Its like listening to a robot read out sentences.

Bo is a Master in this content! His explanations are so clear with various lectures of really going deep into the theory if you’re interested. Highly, Highly, Recommend! He’s one to follow!

Yes, so far it’s been very good. I have some experience with elastic search and understand the fundamentals of other document stores such as MongoDB, but this is really allowing me to put some solid fundamentals to my knowledge

It was really a good course! The instructor is engaging. It is one of the best classes I have gotten in Udemy. There needs to be, of course, couple of updates in videos. However, if you learn by doing along the videos, they are not hard to catch.

This course was recommended by my organisation. I learnt a lot for some one without prior knowledge on Elastic Search. The covered topics were explained neatly and kept well within the limits. Great job by Bo. Thanks for creating this course.

The course covers a lot of information about Elasticsearch which is great; However, there are 3 annoying drawbacks I need to mention which makes me feel like I can’t even complete the last 2 sections because of boredom. First, the accent of the instructor is very difficult to understand in many occasions and I had to rewind many many times and even the CC fails to give meaningful interpretations. Second, the ordering of topics is really bad and you would feel disconnected very quickly. I guess this course could be way better if the topics were ordered in more sense rather than saying don’t worry if you don’t understand this now. For example, there is no point of making a section to cover all mappings and other sections for queries. It makes much sense to explain the specific mappings with the related queries. Third, I completely disliked the examples where the instructor wrote an example and ran it to get an error without any prior notice and then tried to explain the reason of the error and fixing it. This is not a good approach if you need to use the course later for reference.
