For a $10 course, of course it is worth it. But there are so many points that just frustrated me throughout the videos. Here are just a few: 1. Too many fillers that just drags the video out to make it seem longer when most of the time, he’s fixing his mistakes or wondering what’s going wrong. Yes I know it is part of the process of programming but his mistakes are very simple and most of the time, I question whether he’s experienced. In the beginning, he deals with so much UI Design like simply changing colors for so many of his videos and it wastes a lot time. 2. Explanations: many basic concepts he explains well but once he reaches CoreData or even certain constraints problems or anything that is not basic, he brushes it off and says it doesn’t matter or doesn’t explain concepts clearly to beginners. 3. Bad practice: So many, but the BIGGEST and most frustrating one, is when he’s naming variables. He would use short–form naming to assign variables which every programmer should know is bad practice. Ex. let pho imageView.image when pho should be photo. This isn’t exactly the example found in the course but similar which you’ll see as you learn. What if you come back to your code months later, how would you know what that variable is used for? 4. Always using string interpolation… He uses it so often for situations where he never needs to use them. For beginners, this will confuse them. Example: having an object of ame but when assigned to a textfield, it goes – textfield.text (name). All he has to do was write name but he always uses () for no useful reason. Overall, if you’re looking for just ONE iOS 11 course on Udemy, go for Mark Price or Rob Percival’s course. But if the course is on sale for $10, get it! You will still learn a lot from this course, especially his beginner programming concepts of functions and it is always good to learn from other developers. Some things that really irritated me overall: 1. He complains a lot, like constantly at least a few times every section. 2. Many repetitive topics such as doing the UI of an app and it makes it seem like his course has a lot of content but most are just really repetitive.

I’ve bought a few iOS making app courses on Udemy and there are 3 that are really good and this is one of them. What I like about this course is the that the instructor’s explanation is clear and easy to understand, and although the UI of the apps we are building are ok, the most important thing is that this course gives you the understanding of tools that you can use to quickly make your own apps with current frameworks like Firebase, Realm and Alamofire. The quality of the material presented in this course is worth your time and money. Thanks for making an awesome course!!!!

I enrolled for this course after having hands on of about 1 year. I learned from different books and online materials. This one course has surely helped me in keeping my self current with the swift 4 and iOS11 updates. And liked step by step explanation of course without beating around the bush with complexities.

Great course! At the beginning it was a small challenge to dwell into the teaching style of Hitesh, but like all good things sometimes take time time & the content of the course is great and I got a sense of it being thoroughly worked up on, which leads to fast learning and even faster to getting your own app getting to the production line. Thumbs up, Hitesh
