Create a Windows Modbus Master Program using Microsoft .NET
$19.99 $11.99Track price
If you design and implement projects in the area of Process Automation or SCADA, you will know from your experience that one size does not fit all when it comes to data acquisition and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs). There is always some type of customization to be done. Always some feature that the standard HMI software does not offer.
And sometimes, using a very expensive HMI with all sorts of bells and whistles for a small project can just be overkill. There are times when you just need a very simple application that acquires a few data points from a Modbus network and displays them on a computer screen.
These are the reasons for this course!
I teach you how to use FREE TOOLS with some basic programming to create your own Modbus Master application and Human Machine Interface.
If you apply yourself in this course and execute all that I ask you to do, then at the end, you would have a finished Windows Modbus Application that you can customize to your heart’s content!
This is the start of your journey into a whole new area of Process Automation / SCADA and one that is increasingly in very high demand!
Looking forward to seeing you on the inside!

Another great course from Emile. Thank you Emile! I’ve learned quite a bit taking your courses.
Govardhana Manikandan Srinivasan –
Good course for even beginner. Watching this course, a beginner could understand on using .NET to communicate with Modbus device.
Michael Mounts –
a nice introduction to creating a HMI in the virtual studio environment. Instructor is quite good clear and concise. I am pretty familiar with Virtual Studio and I think this made it much easier to follow. If one had no experience in VS and no prior programming I think this would be a hard course to follow. If you are new to programming and are committed to learning the VS environment and VB in general good interesting starting point but expect to spend more time on VB component attributes and general syntax, etc.

This is a very detailed and useful explanation!

Very simple and helpful

Never used Visual Studios and this was a great introduction. Im working on Modbus design on my job and this just save us lots of money instead of buying expensive Opc Servers to see if modbus is working in our device Thanks a lot.

I thought it was a good course, it is not that it is programming in VB, but it fully fulfills the objective. It could have been better if I added a video of how it looks in a physical PLC, like in the Modbus course. I highly recommend it, it is not to learn ModBus, but it is the next step.

That’s cool. Well explained and elaborated. Still need some more things, like multiple device communication.
Andrea Aiello –
Mi sarebbe piaciuta una parte del corso con un esempio di interpretazione dei dati modbus (un esempio di dispositivo reale)
