Eric Summers shows you how to use QuantConnect to write your own algorithmic trading programs to trade cryptocurrency LIVE in the market! Students will learn how to use the QC coding environment to create algorithms, run backtests on historical data, and interpret their results to optimize their programs. By the end of the class, students will know how to connect their programs to their GDAX account and launch their algorithms LIVE in the market. Course covers basic programming etiquette (C#), using QC’s built in Indicators, Loops and Conditionals, Logging Data, Plotting Charts, Debugging, as well as breaking down different strategies that are used by some of the best traders…

This course is awesome, I loved every second of it! The content is amazing, even for people with no previous coding experience (though I would highly recommend to complete a C# course if you want to get the max out of this course and of QuantConnect). Eric is an amazing teacher, super clear, to the point and fun! Thanks a lot Eric, can’t wait for your next course!
Simon Nebesky –
Good intro into the QuantConnect platform and also gives you a basic understanding on how trading robots work.

The only problem is that I live in the EU, and there is no way I could make the algorithm work with the ETHEUR trading pair. Found out that it seems to be impossible to do on QuantConnect which is disappointing. That would be amazing if the training thought about EU users as well and mention this in advance. Thx

Awesome !

This course was amazing, it was exactly the type of course I needed to get started with QuantConnect. The teacher is great, has good market and coding knowledge. Definitely going to buy the second course.

With this course, I was able to get a quick intro to QuantConnect, which is fantastic considering the numerous functionalities this platform offers. However, my expectations from the course were much higher: There are key concepts that were not included when creating Trading Algos, for example, Optimizations. The author is knowledgeable, but the way he presents the course is not very educational, in the sense that a lot of times, the audience is expected to just type in whatever he says, and do the research later. Although it is not very uncommon, but sometimes it would make more sense to just pause and explain more about some key concepts being discussed. The algos created are always Buying assets, and the Trade Closing statements are either Sell() or MarketOrder(). That concept should have been clarified much more, and the author should have diversified the algorithms. There are differences in the UI between the author’s version and the actual one. It’s not bad, but there are no follow ups on in the course to explain what the main ones are. Some questions were asked by students months ago and never answered, which makes me think about the long term commitment of the author with the material. The author assumes that everyone who enrolls in the course is comfortable in programming and in C#. If you are not in any of these 2, you might face some problems. All in all, I would recommend the course to someone who wants to get a quick intro on QuantConnect, but do not have high expectations.

I was interested in ForEx instead of Crypto but this course was a great intro to QuantConnect and how to code/deploy algos. It was entertaining too!
