Give your team on–demand, actionable insights into the status of your product with a fast, scalable test automation framework written in Python using the Pytest toolkit. Learn how to eliminate boilerplate setup and teardown code, run multiple tests at the same time, and track the history of your test runs to identify slow or problematic tests.
Learn lessons collected over years of professional automation in just a few hours.
A Bulletproof approach to automation fundamentals Python is one of the most popular languages in the world, and the demand for it is only increasing. Pytest is one of the most actively maintained testing frameworks in the industry, and provides an incredible set of tools for faster, less–stressful testing.
Automated testing is one of the most in–demand fields in today’s tech market, but there is very little guidance on how the engineer can move from writing tests to building a robust test architecture. Reliable test frameworks save compounding amounts of time and money, improve trust between testers and developers, and make for happier testers. Happy testers are more productive, more effective, and tend to grow within the organization. Everyone wins.
The most widely circulated videos on these topics speak only to the technologies themselves, and do not offer viable implementation guidance or valuable industry practices. I have made these valuable practices the focus of this course.

Thanks for the lecture. I have a better understanding of how to at least understand how pytest can be utilize. Some of the videos were a little longer than expected, but the course objectives were covered. Great job!
Gerard Cote –
Good match. Have done some testing, but not as much as I’d like.
Ken Busse –
Yes,

It is a very focused course on how to structure tests. It is not a testing course so you’ll learn how to write unit tests, but it brings very interesting tips for how to improve your tests management. The course takes out focus on the tests themselves by using very very simple tests which makes the flow very dynamic. However, this flow is broken by the too long explanations given by the instructor. Sure the things get clear, but sometimes the wording used is too long for saying something very simple, thus ending up with too long videos. Apart from that, all the rest is very nice presented, easy to follow and very interesting.

Good basic review so far. Some of the instructional requirements are stored in another class when they should be ported here to reduce lots of confusion.
Dmytro Stepanenko –
Thank you! It’s really useful course for me!
Tony Bushell –
This is a REALLY good course! Packed full of amazingly valuable information that really helped to provide me with a rock solid foundation for my automated testing in Python. It is brilliant at explaining and showing the power of using pytest. Great course with an instructor who is incredibly knowledgeable and has a smooth and engaging presentation style. Take this course and you will not be disappointed!
Javier Zepeda Murguia –
Good course, it’d be nice if there were more real examples as well covered more asserts examples
Mark –
Good info.
Sant Kumar –
Too much details , it can be crisp/concise Focused more on PyTest
Arun –
This is a course which is must have for anyone who wants to learn pytest. @Brandon Blair Thanks for this course.
Scott Redmond –
I have a lot of Python programming experience, but haven’t done any unit testing. After completing this course I feel like I have a decent grasp of how to setup and use pytest. The audio and video are clear and the instructor is easy to understand thanks for that!
Jyoti Pai –
You explained it very well
Jos Eduardo Montenegro Cavalcanti de Oliveira –
Exactly what I neeed. The teacher has a great step by step approach!
Danhua Huang –
Too simple, not deep enough, but generally it is good for beginner.
Nikola Karajanov –
Really just an awesome course, I recommend it to anyone who wants to get into serious and professional test automation. Most of the test automation capabilities I have wanted, but I was struggling to implement in unittest I have found actualized with pytest in this course. The instructor is highly experienced technically and has a solid approach to teaching.
Karthik Raj K –
A good introductory course about PyTest Library.
Kev Smith –
This was a great first course in pytest for me and found the entire course to be run at a good pace, with good, simple examples (so it didn’t distract from the concepts being taught). The instructor gave solid explanations and now interested in taking the other course by the same person. I would have scored this a 5 if there was a bit more content I would have liked some additional videos on extra config options, pytest and tox features and will happily upgrade to 5 if so. That being said the course does a great job in placing you in a position to explore further by yourself. Great job and I hope this instructor creates some more courses.
Maciej Rydwelski –
Some videos could be a little bit shorter. I’ve learnt few things so I’m satisfied.
Chinakotireddy Challa –
it is very nice course, it is helpful in maintaining configs, work with command line args, Executing the Scripts with out having TestSuites, just by using the Test Search and Fixtures
Jodi Parsons –
Great stuff, Brandon Blair helps build a very solid foundation for testing in this course and also his elegrant browser automation course. I feel like if I followed all his principles, my tests would be solid and easily maintained.
Ryan Shew –
Informative at a base level but a bit long winded. As others have pointed out it seems like the lessons weren’t fully thought out in advance, resulting in a lot of rambling. A lot of the talk about test design could probably stand to be broken out in to separate videos rather than bloating lessons about configuration.
Thomas Jereczek –
A few points were already known to me, but I still learned a lot of new things. Therefore, the course was very helpful and interesting for me. With this course you get a good overview of Pytest. Everything important is explained in a clear and detailed way. I can highly recommend the course.
Megan List –
Too much repetition of content and explaining the same concepts repeatedly. Lack of editing out mistakes. Videos could be shorter.
Teja Deep Mandala –
Great course on pytest.I liked the presentation
Cody N Pfeiffer –
The instructor has kept my interest, he speaks clearly and concisely, and he makes very clear the value that I am going to get out of completing this course.
Sergei Vainik –
It is a good course. it is a pity that there was nothing about the test coverage and best practices for big test projects
Vamseedhar Reddy –
Screen sharing is not good. Instructor is not ready with right examples when the course started which wasted lots of time of the course.
Hyun Dong Lee –
It’s a really good course to get you started with pytest and others, but I wish there were more real world examples like working with a framework, if there’s a SQL database that needs to be tested with and etc.
Dennis Lau –
Loved the course so far.
Dmytro Shablia –
Usefull in general, but too much water
Dima Shablia –
Usefull in general, but too much water
David Gray –
I used pytest several years ago, but didn’t set it up. So looking for ground zero.
Sunil Bachaval –
Course material needs to be updated.
Christian Ismael Huizar Salazar –
The instructor is very punctual of what he explains with a touch of his experience. Not downsizing any other tools reflects a very professional person.
Andres Carmelo Micalizzi Casali –
An excellent course on how to work with Pytest
