*** Learn Flask Development using the latest Flask version 1.0.2 ***
This course will teach you, assuming no prior coding knowledge, how to develop back end web applications the way professional coders do in the top internet startups. How do I know this? Because I’ve been leading tech teams in both large enterprise as well as startup companies in New York City for the past 15 years.
I have seen a lot of courses and free tutorials and I can tell you 90% of them just teach bad habits while promising to turn you into a real “web developer”.
This course doesn’t promise to turn you into a professional back end developer after you complete it it takes much more than the 4 hours of of this course (and probably hundreds of hours of self–practicing) to do that, but it will give you a solid foundation from where to start and continue your training, knowing the right path to become a real professional backend web applications developer using Python.
The course goes through a step by step process of setting up your environment, introducing Flask. It then moves to explore SQL databases, using MySQL and finally showing you how to develop a blogging application using all these learnings.

Enjoyed this course immensely, especially the more concise format compared with previous courses by Jorge. This allowed for shorter videos, but without losing the depth of information he provided. I have subscribed to an number of courses by this author, and I have enjoyed each. looking forward to your next Jorge.

I came to this course with very little knowledge of flask having built a tiny example app in another python course. I wanted to learn flask fully rather than an add on for a python course. This had good reviews and one of my friends recommended Jorge’s courses having done some of them. I like Jorge’s delivery and style however I find that this course is rushed and there is too much content for how little time he takes to deliver and explain it. He has a github site that he directs us too for nearly every video with swathes of code to copy and paste, I am constantly having to pause/rewind/replay the videos to keep up with his typing (which is done fast forwarded in the videos) to be able to keep up with the code and explanations. I feel that I will have to rewatch this whole course again to be understand the content. This review sounde negative but all in all I like the course and he is teaching his professional style of working which, with a lot of practice, I should be able to implement in my own work.

I am pretty young(14) and I found the course a little bit hard to understand because you went by quickly. I also would have liked to see how you did the comments form. In addition, I had quite a bit of errors throughout the course because you weren’t being too clear on some manners. However that made me learn a lot. Thank you so much for this good course!

I took Jorge’s previous Flask course before and I’m impressed with the quality and improvements made with this new version. The pacing seemed just right, the videos weren’t too long, and everything seemed much more streamlined. The only nitpicks I have are that some of the links shown in the video were wrong and I wish he explained some of the concepts more in depth, but other than that everything was great.
