**Updated for 2019**
I’ve updated this course to be more updated as technologies have changed over the last couple of years. The old course (based on Frontend Web Developer) is still available as a bonus module at the end (there’s tonnes of great knowledge in the old course).
This course now includes the secret way to get a job interview without submitting a resume. It’s not really a secret it’s just a technique that nobody talks about until now. It’ll change the way you look for a job as a web developer!
*** If you’re interested in becoming a web developer, this course IS for you! ***
This course is the result of a web development job study I did and I ended up getting 12 interviews in 12 weeks. Yes, I’m serious. Of those 12, most of them offered me a job and in the end I was able to pick which company I wanted to work for.
The goal was to learn what skills companies are actually looking for, and I found those… and much much more. I found a formula for getting interviews quickly.
I even had The City (that I live in) interview me. Twice!

This course clears up a lot of confusions/concerns I have had starting to look for work as a web dev. He provides a great structure for the process of what to do, how to keep track, and press forward when job hunting. I certainly would recommend this course to anyone unsure of which direction to go when starting to look for work as a web developer, his structure and advice is right on and undoubtedly it will help me in my future efforts. Thanks!

I’m only a quarter of the way through and this course has already proved it’s worth. With so much noise on the internet regarding what you need to know to get your first Dev job; this was a definite sigh of relief. I feel like I can now start job hunting, instead of wasting another year of my life trying to learn as many languages as possible.

The course was very informative and has what I feel to be some good advice. I am getting ready to begin applying very soon after revamping my resume for a change from Customer Service to Web Development, so I intend to make good use of all of the information.

I’m undecided whether or not pursue a career as web front end developer as it looks like sooo difficult for me to learn all those programs. However I was thinking to learn exactly the fundamental first: HTML, CSS and Java basically this video confirmed what I was thinking. My only doubt was that it was not enough learning just these 3 languages to land a job (even an entry job) and probably competition out there would have killed me as there are really skilled people with Python, SQL…you name it. I’m glad that I have got it right. I have chosen this course as a guide line how to take practical steps toward this career as there are so many resources, courses, people on different media claim to be the guru it’s frankly very confusing. I was actually looking for something that helps me to chose what is the best, the right step what to take and cut out lots of non sense.

The course is very informative sprinkled with age old wisdom on what to do regarding the dilemma of securing job interviews as a web developer. The instructor passionately handles questions such as; what programming language(s) should new web developers focus on, skills that employers value, securing interviews, handling rejection or worse not getting response after sending cv. The course also touches on bad advice and misconceptions in the social media that may or may not be true for web developers and are in most cases a set up for disappointment to those that believe everything blindly and so forth. The course offers practical solutions, tips and personal insights that are gems all based on the instructor’s candid personal experiences until he found his first job as a web developer. Honestly, the principles the instructor gives and how to go about implementing them is invaluable, and can easily be applied not just by those searching for web developer job interviews but also in other professions as well. Please, go ahead and have your take! Thanks.

Wow, is that it? That was very basic info! Sorry, but I was expecting something useful (read: more than just the obvious common sense) from someone who’s actually applied to and gotten web dev jobs several times. Also, I expected more simply because it’s a paid course and not a free Youtube video. The info in this course is not bad or wrong, it’s just very basic common sense really. Basically, its goes like this: Go to meetups! Focus on your soft skills. Network! Get to know people who work as web devs. It’s who you know, not what you know. Don’t be nervous about job interviews… . There, I just saved you all $10 and an hour of your time. There’s a lot of quality course on Udemy, this isn’t one of them.

Absolutely fantastic and honest description of breaking into web development. I have experience in a related field, and I’m looking to make a switch into this area. His description and strategies match what I’ve heard from others in web development. I’m so glad I found this as this course lays everything out in one place.
