Well structured and very clear lecture. Also, the examples are practical.

Good course to kick start with, although cassandra commands have been updated so you have to deal with going to cassandra documentation and forums to resolve issues to go ahead with latest command in this course and some little little hurdle like VM Ware software was not working so had to set up virtual box for ubuntu manually rather than from the source provided, though this process definitely helped to understand setting up environment and how to resolve bugs while following this course. Finally all worked except java(eclipse) code which initially worked for parent machine(mac) for single node, single data center, single cluster environment. But slow VM machine made difficult to setup eclipse in it and hence couldn’t repeatedly check out comes using java code, and also tried connecting eclipse from parent machine (mac) to VMs (cassandra cluster) but unable to connect. Rest is good. Thanks Ruth! ?

Good course, really going through stuff nice and easy, the machines that were pre setup for us helped a lot, and the lecturer was clear and made all the steps with us during the entire course. The quizzes should Either be done manually, not as another video, or should be removed, currently they are hardly quizzes.

Very good training. Old version but some concepts still valid.

Best Cassandra course, neatly laid out. Covers a lot of topics with helpful lab examples & exercises. Bit outdated, however still effective for getting started. Thanks Ruth.

The content of this course is very shallow. A brief showcase of how to do some queries and how to use Cassandra but not about how to use it well at all. E.g, schema design was not mentioned at all. Besides, the content of the course is very old.

A great start for a beginner like me with the real examples of who uses Cassandra , why and how?

Older version of Cassandra, but extremely well taught, and it shoudln’t be difficult for students to catch up with the newer versions. VMs were packaged with all the required software making lessons easy to follow along and practice.

Stale rotten content, this material is for a version from 2013. This course should be revamped or taken off the index. ANYWAY, the content is pretty much accurate and thorough.
