Always a pleasure being a student of yours.

Subject taught is relevant. Learning can be applied easily in real world applications, especially at work. Hopefully there will be more courses that show how Google Apps can be further integrated with other Internet based apps or other Social Media apps like Facebook, Instagram, and API platforms such as IFTTT. Thanks for the course!

Excellent course to step into google app scripting and connecting an external api to several google programs of the drive environment. The details are complex, but you can imagine, that google app scripting is capable to solve all occurring programming issues within several google apps. You should have at least a basic understanding of javascript programming because google app script and javascript overlap . I was able to follow all coding lessons immediately. Occasionally I got to know the debugger because of some self made typing errors. But to learn means to test and try coding ;o)

This was a great course to go through, I learned a ton. The real world scenario is definitely appealing. It’s not for beginners, but it doesn’t say it is, so all good. My only concern was that it would have been better to get some insights as to how to research the APIs and how did Laurence decide what parameters to use, etc (ie. muteHttpExceptions why did he use it? How did he know that Twitter needed it? It would have been useful to know, so that when I go against a different API, I would know what to look for). Apart from that, very satisfied. I’m diving into Laurence’s other GAS course.

Pace was good and content was very helpful. WIth the and more I was hoping for run throughs or resources for other popular APIs we could use in Google Sheets from across the internet, highlighting how Twitter’s API may or may not be different. A popular course follow up could be one covering how to download data from across the internet leveraging APIs onto Google Sheets.

I found the course having very clear explanations and it really does match my interest. I didn’t know about Google App Scripting before but very recently I was on learning Javascript.

So far it’s been great, there’s a mix of delving a little deeper and cracking on with the content which is useful.
