Exactly what I was looking for! Shopify’s documentations are so vague.

All the concepts kind of make sense until the end of the course. To include the code by the end of each lecture would be so great, I had to pause the lectures and read every line on the screen. Like if you are not going to include the code, do not copy and paste a big chunk of code. eg the server. An overview of the structure of the project itself would be great. What every package install does to the project. There are some difficulties I faced that are not really emphasized in the course. Like the fact that every time, you changed of ngrok, the endpoints can be affected and you need to rerun them in graphiql. There could also be a description of admin and user websites differences, or at least how to manipulate the storefront on other ways.

The instructor is very knowledgable and I love how he dives into the details and nuances of app building for shopify stores. Takes it to step by step and it’s great for someone who’s never built an app before!

All around was quite impressed with the course. Lots of solid takeaways and serves as a solid entry point for custom development in the Shopify ecosystem. Lots of screen sharing which I found super helpful. I hope to see more from this instructor on this topic sometime in the future. Well worth the $$$!

I want to start off by saying that finding any material teaching development for Shopify apps is extremely limited, especially for React/Node, and this 4 hour course it a really really great investment if that is what you are looking for. It at least teachest you more than enough to get started! A couple of notes for the teacher Don’t record when you are almost falling asleep or super tired Some Udemy teachers deliberately do error so they can show why something happens, your errors felt like you hadn’t prepared the recording enough. Using const (products) is fine. And it’s recommended to use let instead of var be ES6. Absolutely add the Mongodb part of the tutorial! Despite what seems like a lot of criticism I found your course incredibly valuable and will 100% recommend it, add the Mongodb and this is a solid 5 star course.

So far so good! Clear and easy to follow, perhaps the presenter could have a 125% zoom on the code window.

I went through the Shopify tutorials a couple of times but it never really clicked… there is still a lot of learning to do but this course really helped understand how Shopify’s app ecosystem works and how your app interacts with their code. Additionally, the parts of the video where he dives into the developer documentation for Polaris really helps you understand where to find information because these apps are built on many technologies so documentation is scattered across 5 10 node packages that you need to develop an app… unlike a WordPress plugin that only requires you know PHP, HTML, CSS and how that code interacts with the WordPress or Woocommerce codebase.

The course is very good. I’m very new to most of the technologies that were used but it’s given me some insight as to what I need to learn more of and also a resource to look back at how all the technologies were implemented

Its not bad. I wish you explained which URL you had to go to (eg the Shopify GraphiQL app wasn’t obvious)
