In this course, we’ll begin by covering the basics of MongoDB and the key differences between NoSQL and SQL to help you build an intuitive understanding of foundational concepts for the course. This will be followed by engaging practical exercises to help you understand how to use database operations in the Mongo Shell.
You’ll then move on to designing your own database to store data for a blogging website, exploring how different data structures can be best–suited to solve different problems depending on the use case.
Finally, we’ll move on to data analysis. You’ll use filtering, projection, sorting, and querying complex data structures to extract actionable insights from real world datasets. You’ll build these skills through a blogging website case study and then apply them on an E–Commerce data analysis challenge.

Its a good course so far however the videos so far are blurred many times its just the audio and explanation that compensates for understanding what is being typed.

I’m in lection 25 and so far the content is just fine. But the sound level sucks. Sorry, it is too low. I’m used to better standards from this author. Will update when I finished the course.

A very good and clearly explained introduction to MongoDB (of course, easy to follow for an Oracle db guy like me ; ) …)

It is a high quality introductory MongoDB course, but in the end, the knowledge it covers is still a little shallow to me. Hope it could provide more in depth knowledge with more practical case studies.

A basic understanding of what MongoDB is and how it is different than standard SQL database. I believe it initially starts by giving you a firm understanding of basic CRUD operations but haven’t gone through enough of the course yet to see this truly in action with a website. Half Way through and must say I was disappointed by the Data Analysis Intuition section. It was not useful for anyone who has ever analyzed data or even taken a basic statistics class. There was no new information presented in this section and had little to no relationship with MongoDB that was not already established. I believe it should be removed completely. Will update if this improves but as we have manually put items in a database just to see how it works I have yet to encounter a real world application(like mass or automated updates to the DB or automated CRUD operations through a user interface)

I have done an Advanced Data Systems course in my business intelligence & smart services MSc, where we have used MongoDB. There, we were not explained the basics as thoroughly as in this course and it is a great refresher of all the knowledge with extensive explanations of what’s happening in the code.

I want to learn more about aggregation but I haven’t seen it in this course. Also, this course only focus on query which most of the sample are replicate.

This course is more about data analysis then about MongoDB. Even this course is a beginner course I want to know more about MongoDB than about data analysis. In the end even I am not 100% satisfied regarding course but still get some information and working on MongoDB. It can be better if the content of course have more learning regarding MongoDB
