In this course you will learn all about building apps with Java. You’ll get an introduction to Java programming while you learn to develop Java applications for various runtime environments desktop, web, and mobile with Eclipse.
First we’ll start with a brief review of the language and review the basic building blocks of the Java syntax: variables, functions, arrays, conditional statements, classes, and input/output.
Then we’ll discuss building user interfaces, creating data sources for tables, using two–dimensional arrays, using external files to populate table data. We’ll talk about publishing desktops apps, sharing class libraries, writing web apps with Java, connecting to databases, and finally, we’ll build a simple Android app.

The instructor is knowledgeable and his explanations are very clear. May be practical projects should be included. Very good as an introductory course. The chapter on Android application does not show how intellij IDEA helps on Android development.
