A course on Java for complete beginners to computer programming, for those who want to learn Java from Beginner to Advance.
Hello and welcome to this course which is designated for absolutely for beginners where you are going to learn Java from scratch to advance. Java is the most popular language right now. And if you want to be a java developer then this course is for you. I am Sarkhan Rasullu, I am a developer working mainly in Java and JVM based languages and I am also responsible for architecting applications, databases and I have many years experience as a Java Trainer as well. I’ve written this course based on these experiences.
On this course I’ll be assuming no prior knowledge of Java or any programming language. You do not need to be a programmer, or you do not need to know any programming language. You just need to have an interest in programming in Java. On the course you’ll be learning Java Basics, All of Object Oriented Programming Language concepts and along the way you’ll be applying your new skills on different algorithmic problems.
But we will keep things simple at first. We will be learning about variables, classes, objects, methods, some most popular design patterns as singleton pattern, factory pattern and data structures. We’ll apply these concepts on our simple applications that you can practice your skills. And meanwhile we will talk about interview questions that can be asked in interviews.

Not exactly for the new bees to coding

1. Major language barrier. The instructor does not handle English very well, therefore he has a difficult time explaining basic concepts. And pronouncing some words. For a beginner, this is frustrating, because if you don’t understand the basics, you cannot learn more complex concepts later. I had do google most of the concepts starting with Section 3, because there were few explanations and no definitions. Giving examples helps, but having too few information about certain aspects leads to guesswork. Typing the same things over and over again does not explain things. It is just a waste of time, effort and resources. 2. The lectures don’t have a structure. The instructor jumps from one thing to another, even if it was not explained well or even introduced before (if, else, strings etc). There are no definitions, no logical order in which the concepts are presented and the explanations are not comprehensive enough. It’s like the instructor does everything on a whim. This is unacceptable for a course aimed at people with no prior coding experience. 3. If you have never worked with IDEs in your life, jumping from Eclipse to IntelliJ can be frustrating. Why explain how to install and set up Eclipse in Section 2, when you jump to IntellyJ in the beginning of Section 3, with no additional information. Had to search other tutorials for this as well. I’ll be asking for a refund for this course, because I’ve lost all my patience trying to learn from here, even after giving it another and another chance over the past week.

This is a good introductory course; it helped me learn to read and understand the logic behind Java. However, I would appreciate it if notes summarizing each lesson were in the resources folder. Also, there are only two practice problems, but you can always practice coding on codingbat.com and other websites, so it is not a big issue.

This course is much better prepared than two other courses which I found on YouTube in my native language. This is why I’m continuously proceeding with this one.

Course started with using Eclipse, suddenly without an announcement it was instead using IntelliJ.

The trainer is explaining how to write a code but does not explain why public class Main{} and why public static void main() Hopefully I think he will explain in later videos.
