If you want to learn to program in Java in far less time than you previously thought possible then read on.
The world today is a hectic place. Most of us have very little spare time. Once we have worked (or studied), slept, spent some time with friends and family there is little time left to think about a career.
In order to become a software developer you need programming skills. But how can you get those skills in the minimum amount of time and still have a life along the way?
This course was designed to teach you the essential Java programming skills you need to get your first programming job, or perhaps a promotion to a more senior position. And to do it in the shortest possible amount of time.
Here is a review written by one of the students in the course.
Tim is such a great instructor! He just have that magic in him that makes me understand what he is teaching! – Henrik Ferrari
Do I need to learn 100% of the Java language?
No! To understand how this course can help you, there is a need to understand how programming languages are constructed. The creators of these languages try and add every single feature they think someone might need, ever.
A large part of the language rarely gets used, and sometimes not at all. It’s the same with software. If you have used a spreadsheet in the past, I’d lay odds that you use it for basic spreadsheet work, and you rarely, if ever go into some of the advanced functionality. The basic functions of the spreadsheet are what most people use.

Gerard T. Pauline –
Yes and no. I need to train some jr. programmers, who seem to think they know enough, and don’t. The instructor is very good, though some bits of information appear to be extraneous.
Billy Gene Ridgeway –
Great course! I also signed up for the Master Class, but wanted to get my feet wet with this one first before diving into the 80 hour course.
Puleng Makoea –
the instructor is very good at explaining the cause
Pius Adekoya –
I have been looking forward to a course in Java in order to improve myself in another area of programming, so far so good, I am loving hopefully I can take Java exams in the near future with more courses.

It was a good experience grabbing the basic essentials of Java. I knew a bit already so I basically flew through it, but it was nice to see my knowledge held up all the time. Onto the Masterclass!

Mohammed Sabina –
very clear information and usable information

I expected more coding exercises to better understand the concepts we study in the videos, I guess they’re maybe in the second half? I like how Tim teaches the concepts, but this course is missing some important stuff that is on the Java Master Class course, I would recommend this as a refresher and then going into the Master Class for a better understanding of the concepts and more importantly: Coding Exercises.

This dude is a pimp.

Worth every penny. Great explanations throughout the whole course. BUT… I’m shocked that we didn’t even get one video about arrays or list. There is no way you can classify lists as advanced because it’s fundamental knowledge in any other language. I don’t think it’s any different in Java.
Russell Sanders –
Excellent course. Very well explained. Good pace.
Faisal Shaikh –
It was very nice

This course is of excellent quality overall but you have to know that it is incomplete yet : it ends with Strings and is to be continued. So, you can’t actually become a java dev with this course but you will learn a lot about what is programming and how Java works. Tim Buchalka knows his craft and will give you a lot of advices. He is enthusiast, speaks clearly enough for a non native english speaker to understand and is overall very pleasant to follow.
