This course is outdated. They’re using Django 1.8 and currently there is Django 2.5 available. This puts you in a misery. There are a lot of changes in code structure and environment set up. For example Registration Redux latest registration redux does not work with django<1.10. I had so many issues and had to fix so many errors on my own simply because course is outdated. As I write this review I am yet to figure out why my registration page does not work after checking my code for 20 times and what not. Also looks like instructor assumes we already know django and works at very fast pace. It is so hard to keep up with his pace. I had to pause so many times at certain seconds in order to just see what he is writing. He will change files, screen within a second after he is done writing code/command on his machine.

getting difficulting in executing commands in windows command prompt. There should be some additional pages for executing same commands in windows.

The environment used is not up to date and I kept receiving errors due to environment issues

I think the do as I do is rather fair method, but it should be accompanied with better explanation about the technical details of what is doing what, and reasons for doing something the way it’s done. This goes especially when using external package like the django registration redux. I think that right now (two minutes after the section is done) I will not be able to do the same by myself.

1. Instructor speaks much too quickly and mumbles frequently. 2. Needs to be updated for Python 3 and latest Django…course badly out of date. 3. Instructor ignores warning messages that might be instructive to resolve. 4. Instructor uses many 3rd party libraries without illustrating the underlying problem to solve and more manual solutions. I think it is better to do things first the hard way to better understand a later presented easy way. Overall an OK but dated introduction to Python/Django.

Install was a little hit or miss deal. Had to play a little before I could get it work.

Very calm and friendly voice, structured lecture, easy to listen to.
