VB .net is an excellent programming language. Beginners can appreciate it s English–like syntax, and more advanced programmers can appreciate its vast libraries and flexibility. It s part of the .Net family of languages, and as such, it allows you to program some truly amazing solutions. So, congratulations on choosing to learn this amazing language. :–)
As it is common among beginner programmers, the enthusiasm to learn often is not enough to make the leap from beginner to intermediate.
The bad news is: code fear is real, and it hinders, or even stops your progress.
The good news is: you can learn to eliminate it! And all it takes is a little practice and determination. And that s where this course will help you greatly!
The course goes over Visual Basic programming projects from a popular college Visual Basic textbook: Introduction to Programming Using Visual Basic by David Schneider. I show you how to put the theory you learned into practice by showing you how to solve each exercise and walking you through all the Why s and How s.
You and I will go on a journey to program simple solutions, such as a Calculator, all the way to complex solutions such as Bank Account and Black Jack simulator.

This is the perfect stepping stone to move into Visual Studio from VBA experience in Excel or Access. I’m doing the course for fun and am enjoying pausing the video after seeing the assignment and then seeing the answer. Seeing different approaches really helps get the language to stick. I find that for me this is the only way to learn by constantly using the language. I find VB language so much easier to read and write as I use VBA almost every day. I’ve learnt many other languages but for me it is a case of use it lose it so if I don’t use the language regularly I forget syntax. If you are unsure about taking the course just read the description and check the video style. I really like Pavol’s style and we just get straight into coding.

Yes, very easy to understand and to apply.

My extensive experience is with Excel VBA sp loops, basic arrays, etd. were easy to follow without a lot of explanation. But new material to me like structures, more complicated arrays, queries, added classes, etc. were difficult to follow with essentially no explanation. I suspect you reqlly needed the textbook to be able to follow the coding easily.

Very easy to understand so far.

This would be beneficial to learners who are at intermediate level of the language. While watching the codes being typed, it would help if a small view of the form is also visible on the same screen to better understand the logic of the program

Great exercises! Great topics and lessons in each. Sometimes very tough to keep up and had to pause to actually type in the codes. But great lessons, projects, and tips, and explanations.

So far I just finished the calculator exercise. The course is amazing so far, but i’m only taking two stars away because it would have been nice to actually build the UI with the instructor instead of figuring it out by ourselves.
