Initially, I thought this was gonna be just one of those courses, but going through this course I realized its one in a million. You are a great teacher.
Aikins Amponsah Darkwah –
Excellent course…just love it
Mohammed Zakari –
This is by far one of the best electron courses I’ve seen. It was easy to understand underlying concepts. Following the tutorial, I have been able to rebuild the apps without any assistance. Also, Mubarak was almost always available to answer all my questions.
Peter Weston –
Very good. It is fast paced without unnecessary filler.
Joan Carballo –
The course is exactly what it promises to be; a practical demonstration of the core concept of Electron applications and its most relevant capabilities. The sample applications chosen are really on point and pragmatic.
Endang Ismaya –
nice apps actually but I’m looking for SPA with electron, if you can provide it I will update my rating…

The videos provided is satisfactory but there are topics to be included. The videos are short, and in depth information about certain topics are missing. None the less Mubarak has done a great job in guiding one in building applications from scratch.

Great course for introducing on Electron, now I have a good base to keep growing with it. Learning the whole Electron requires much more that 8 hours but the different apps created are a good trip to the whole understanding of this framework. Thanks to Mubarak for clear a path for learning with very entertaining (code wise) explanations. Thanks!

I was sceptic at first because the instructor’s voice in preview videos was not confident and with a strong accent. But he proved me wrong. After the first boom line I was sucked in and I learnt a lot and I’m very thankful. Yes, he made some typos along the course, but I was proud of myself when I realised them before he pointed them out and fixed. The applications you build are great base for further electron experimentation. This course is a career starter it is a must.

Best Introductory Course!! I recommend it to people just getting into Electron. Well Explained, and anyone can get the hang of this. Great Instructor! I feel confident in writing my own Apps 🙂

At first I was skeptical but after a few mins already I started loving the class, it’s actually a really good class, you explain concepts well and at a really good, comprehensive pace! The apps built in this class are really fun AND useful! Could be a bit more but what’s in there is great! Just a few things I’d love to see improved if you rerecord it for Electron v8: 1) having step by step code snipplets attached in the resources of every lesson would be great, that way we can always copy and paste your code if ours is not working or just download and copy and paste if we don’t feel like typing. Also I only noticed very late that you have a link to each project’s full code in the last lecture of each project, would be good to have the link show up in the resources or even better to link to it at the beginning of the project for those who don’t want to necessarily code along but look through the code. 2) some small bugs/lacks make some of the apps feel a bit unpolished, on the text editor for example cancel would not work, the music player doesn’t have a volume functionality etc. It would not take a lot to implement these and then those would be even more useful and feel like full blown applications that can be used day by day. 3) if you added just a few small images and maybe more colors as styling elements to these apps they would look awesome, and then it’s even more fun creating them. For example I downloaded a fun picture and put it as background image for the text editor and it kinda doubled the satisfaction for creating my first desktop app. Some free background images from pexels.com with a bit of opacity would be good enough. 4) A list of useful VSCode extensions for electron can be useful in the intro if there are any

The content is very good, the step by step sample applications covers a great deal of material and it glues the code samples with full walkthrough explanations. The only issue I have is the heavy accent. At times it makes it difficult to follow. However, if you can forgone this inconvenience, the course is worth a full five starts.

This course did exactly what I expected gave me a hands on way to learn electron.js by building projects. The only critique I have is that it is based on an old version of the codebase (it is now at 13.1.4) so some of the methods used (such as nodeIntegration) are not supported and I had to figure out what the necessary new steps were to complete the projects. I would recommend that this class be updated. As a further recommendation, I would vary the apps created the news and radio apps are very similar and could be condensed into 1 lecture.
