CSS is the key to good looking and functional web sites.
Maybe you’re tired of creating sites that look just so–so ? Or, perhaps, you’re a traditional designer trying to get certified in web technologies? Anyone who works on the web needs to have a strong command of CSS. Whether you’re a developer, designer, teacher, or student, you need to understand modern CSS thoroughly.
The world has changed, and things have become more complex.
When CSS first came out, pretty much everyone was looking at web sites on a standard–sized computer monitor.
Now, you’ve got to contend with colossal 5k (an even 6K) monitors down to tiny mobile screens. And your web site has to look great on all of them. That’s why a current CSS program like Mastering CSS is essential for you.
This course won’t just teach you the in’s and out’s of CSS. We created the course in the current context. Nowadays, your job as a web site developer is to make content for all screen sizes and make it look good!
You’ll be awarded the CSS Specialist Certification when you complete the course. When you place this recognized certification on your LinkedIn account, everyone can recognize your achievement.

David Maruska –
Good class, Mark is a good instructor. This class went fast, I did expect more, but I’m new to this! Examples are clear, video and audio is great!

I really enjoyed this class. It is a beginner level course that gets you to investigate more of css than is gone over once you start seeing what you can do with it. If you never had any css exposure, this is a good way to see what you can do with it. Many topics covered and the labs are good. I found that I would like to do more in the labs than the required skills it was addressing. It was fun to do. If you already know how to use css this might be a little too basic for you. The chapters aren’t too long to go over a topic or two so they don’t drag on. The labs are specific to the video you watch, but you can combine what you already learned in previous lessons and other things you may find while investigating deeper into css to make them more complex just for the sake of learning. So if you’re new to css, this is a good place to start.

The instructor was very easy to understanding and he kept my attention. The material was useful as I was able to use the subject material immediately. The material was very thorough. I have dealt with FrameworkTV and they are easy to get along with helpful course instructors. Bonus: the course comes with a certificate upon completion!

Excellent CSS course. For the ones who know HTML this is certainly the best way to learn how to style it.It covers most of what is needed to achieve that,Mark is a great experienced teacher who can explain some difficult concept clearly and simply. The projects are very practical and indispensable for a full grasp of the material.

This is fantastic! I have already participated in several Framework TV courses, and I always emphasise that Mark is a great instructor. Each element of the course is perfectly described, explained and logically connected with others. What is perhaps most important is Mark’s visible passion for teaching us what he presents on the screen. The course itself is undoubtedly intended for beginners. Nevertheless, in the subsequent lessons, we learn more and more complex issues all explained in the same very accessible way. And each of them will be useful if we want to have full control over our site. Some minor comments and suggestions: 1. One would like to see one more lesson presenting useful tricks connected with sending correspondence directly from the website, more ways of animating, creating various special effects, pop up announcements while watching the site etc. 2. I think that because the course is for beginners, Mark could start it by discussing the possibilities of the Brackets editor. 3. Under course requirements or prerequisites is the note: No Special Software Needed I guess it would be useful to mention exactly Brackets here.

Interesting and informative. In depth presentation of essential material provided foundational knowledge of CSS. Course covered styling text, complex selectors, styling for forms and buttons, box model, CSS positioning, responsive design and transitions & animations. A great course without wasting a lot of time. The exercises and course guide provided a means of hands on learning. I definitely recommend this course!

Once again mark does a great job of explaining the CSS using code and real examples. A PDF included with each video helps the user go over the material on their own.

Mark as an instructor explains things clearly and with normal language great for beginners. Lots of examples are show on how tags are used if you follow along with the lesson videos. At the end of each lesson you get 2 exercises. One you have to debug the code for an example similar to the one in the lesson video. Second is a project that you have to create on your own that reinforces what you just learned and lets the information sink in. Highly recommend for new learners and a great refresher for veterans to get certification for proof of skills.

Mark is a good presenter. He is thorough and knowledgeable and explains the subject matter quite well. The course delivers what it promises, that you will master CSS.

Great course! Framework Television produces very high quality products and Mark’s courses are the best among them. An outstanding feature of his courses is a concise and clear presentation of the framework of the material, as well as a very competent presentation method the main code patterns are repeated from lecture to lecture and by the end of the course they are well remembered without any special effort. In this course, there is an accompanying text material with explanations and exercises for each lecture. It facilitate learning material a lot. The explanations of the basic concepts are very clear and precise. Nothing superfluous and all that is really needed. And the explanation of CSS positioning (generally speaking, a rather confusing topic) in this course is the best I’ve ever seen at all (lecture 6). The only thing that can be done to improve the course is to provide a list of resources for advanced study of each of the course topics. Mark is very passionate about his course and this passion is passed on to the listener. I enjoy the learning, a lot of thanks Mark for the course.

Reached the end, just the PDf to work through. I have enjoyed the course. It is presented in easily viewable sections that I find informative and ‘to the popint’. I’m looking forward to see what they develop for us next.

CSS is designed to enhance html files like selecting fonts, colors, do image handling, animations and so on. This course is presented by Mark Lassoff whose videos are always very pleasant to watch (fluent, no hesitations). He will cover a large number of very helpful CSS properties. Mark’s philosophy is that you only learn by practicing. Therefore every episode has an exercise that has to be sent in and will be checked by the staff. When all exercises are OK you get the certificate and will be able to generate high class html/CSS projects. There are downloadable text files wherein the subjects are extensively covered. Highly recommended.

Its a great course if you have a little knowledge of CSS and its very practical with lot of really useful tips even for advanced users. It covers the modern CSS possibilities and the crucial things to know about box model and responsive design. The last video to do an animation with sprite sheets is a very alive way to understand them i only used them for icons logos etc. I recommend to take this course also on framework television there is additional material and exercises that are challenging and fun to do they improve the hole understanding a lot.

This course is an awesome foundation course to begin one’s CSS journey. Although I have been working with CSS for sometime, I learned a lot that I did not know as I haven’t used. I especially liked the animation and sprite lesson.
Robert Jackson –
I thought I knew a fair bit about css before taking this course! It turns out there were huge gaps in my knowledge and I now appreciate there is a lot more! Complex selectors; position; transition and animation all captured my imagination. The course itself is well structured and the quality of presentation is so professional! The pace was ideal for me and I particularly liked the opportunity for practical application of knowledge gained at each stage.

Another great course by Framework TV! The lessons are short and clear yet packed with information. The follow up assignments help to solidify your knowledge and your certificate of completion can be displayed so employers know that you have learned and understand the knowledge you need to develop websites.
Andres Lara –
Full of practical examples.
Xochitl Vidal –
This class builds on HTML5 and CSS, it teaches you design and style concepts that will help you build interactive websites. The instructor presents clear and easy to understand examples in each lecture. The labs help to reinforce what you learned in the lecture.
Bruce Sklar –
This is a very easy paced course for a very complex topic. CSS has exploded with all the different syntax that is available for CSS3. This in depth course explains everything with working examples and provides exercises to reinforce the lessons. A good course for people new and experienced with CSS.
Muhammad Waqas Sheikh –
Easy to follow along for beginners with assignments that help the students to practice what they have learned within the particular section. Thanks, Mark for teaching new techniques to be used within CSS to make web pages responsive and attractive.

It was a little short compared to other courses at Udemy.
