MERN Stack Front To Back: Full Stack React, Redux & Node.js
$99.99 $15.99Track price
Welcome to MERN Stack Front To Back . In this course we will build an in depth full stack social network application using Node.js, Express, React, Redux and MongoDB along with ES6+. We will start with a blank text editor and end with a deployed full stack application. This course includes…
Building an extensive backend API with Node.js & Express
Protecting routes/endpoints with JWT (JSON Web Tokens)
Extensive API testing with Postman
Integrating React with our backend in an elegant way, creating a great workflow
Building our frontend to work with the API
Using Redux for app state management
Creating reducers and actions for our resources
Creating many container components that integrate with Redux
Testing with the Redux Chrome extension
Creating a build script, securing our keys and deploy to Heroku using Git
UPDATE: The entire course was updated to use React Hooks, Async/Await and better overall code.
This is NOT an Intro to React or Intro to Node course. It is a practical hands on course for building an app using the incredible MERN stack. I do try and explain everything as I go so it is possible to follow without React/Node experience but it is recommended that you know at least the basics first.

Chuck Kerns –
I feel like this instructor is top notch. He breaks things down as he’s going, makes everything understandable, and just love his approach.
Wilson Horrell –
Man, Brad is amazing. I was a TA for an instructor who recommended Brad Traversy so often that he had to clarify that he did not work for Udemy nor get paid by Brad. He is a totally down to earth dude who explains things in about as clear of terms as anyone can explain them. I’m still confused most of the time but I like going back and listening a second time. I highly recommend Brad Traversy’s courses.
David Marian Buzatu –
The course is really well structured and the steps are easy to follow. Brad knows best how to teach somebody something new
Bohdan Melnyk –
It’s awesome course for improving full stack skills. I got complex understanding connection between React and Node.js. But, in my opinion, you should have some knowledge of React and Node.js before starting this course.
Sunit Das –
Excellent Hands On with perfect explanation and at a perfect pace. Loving it 🙂
Algirdas Mazeika –
Very good course!
Myriam Pinkert –
Awesome. Everything worked out perfectly
James Appello –
Very descriptive! This really helps the pupil gain a strong grasp of MERN with redux! Thank you Brad!
Doug Hawkinson –
Very well presented. Mostly easy to understand. When not easy to understand it was my lack of experience. I have a couple of in the wild projects that I will use these ideas on, immediately.
Eino A Lindfors –
great
Brandyn Lordi –
Unfortunately I had to stop this course half way through. I think this course does a very poor at explaining the concepts and fundamentals of the code we are writing and there are too many instances of Just write this to get the app working for me to find much value here. This isn’t a direct reflection of brad or his teaching as i’ve had a lot of success with much of his content on youtube and i will continue to view and support his content. Looking forward to any updates or new related courses in the future!
Mochamad Yudi Sobari –
penjelasan yang mudah di pahami. thanks
Isaac Druin –
Perfect so far 🙂
Arjun K P –

Sharathvasudevan –
yes , It’s easy to understand. Thanks
Jonathan McAlexander –
Can’t tell if the instructor is just blowing through all this setup fast because it’s irrelevant or if they expect us to have actually learned a lot from this. Going through all of these setup steps without explanations really leaves me with a lot of questions and makes me feel like I’m missing a lot. Would be nice if the instructor even pointed to more resources or just said something reassuring like, here’s a lot here, but for our purposes this will be sufficient.
Amartaivan Ganbat –
Very good explained
James Schnebly –
Definitely a well done course BUT Brad goes very quickly. That is not a bad thing but it makes this course go from beginner to intermediate. Personally, I like the pace but I am far from a MERN stack beginner taking this course in in order to stay up to date during quarantine downtime.
Van Tha Bawi Uk –
clear and good teaching, leaving good thoughts about how to code. Love it.
Vedant Joshi –
Quite application oriented
Michael Chen –
Awesome course!
Suguna –
i am very much satisfied in the begining itself…
Ari Eckmann –
Love the Boston accent
Harpreet Singh –
Good explanation
Nagarla Vardhan –
Learning how to structure a real time project in addition to a lot of other things. Most courses teach how to use a technology but here we get to learn a lot of real time things that happen. It is just awesome.
Esther Ndavi –
It is fulfilling to my expectations

If you’re thinking about building anything with MERN, take this course. Disclaimer: the course doesn’t have obvious/simple things that we all look for in a social webapp like: Followers/Following, Search bar, Chat/DM functionality, Post & Comment Edit components, Forgot & Reset Password email components, user & admin roles (admin dashboard), user email authentication, social login/authentication, URL preview (e.g. open graph) within Posts, or separate Like & UnLike functionality and counts (e.g. upvote / downvote logic would be so much better, but the course uses UnLike as an ‘undo’ for Like). You may also want to replace gravatar with a more traditional image upload logic/component. Taking all of that, I’d still recommend that you buy this course…use this as a base and figure the rest out on your own. This course will give you a solid start.
Xuan Ngo –
Amazing course by Brad! I always come back and refer to it when I’m creating any apps with the mern stack.
Rohit Dhulubulu –
should have gone bit slower when it comes to redux. Explaining each concepts
Tomara –
I love this instructor! This is my second course with him and already off to a great start.
Vybhav –
Completed the course over a duration of one month, but can be done much faster. Amazing content and really helpful. I learnt quite a lot. As a beginner in React it felt like this course was the right pick for me. Would recommend this course to a beginner in REACT.
Muhammad Maulana Sidiq –
Very clear explanation
Duc Hoa Tran –
This course gives me a lot of knowledge.
Dan Bacila –
Amazing course content! Would recommend for everyone that HAS prior experience with React, Redux and Node.js.
Aaron Claes –
It’s a pretty good course if you want to learn how you can bring node js and react together, I would not take this course if you do not have any experience with react and node js, this is a more advanced course and not all the basics are explained. Also a great course to learn how to use redux!
Frank Servais –
Well, I am new to MERN, and to many of the technologies. Following is difficult. So some settings are totally unknown to me, like bash, Emmet, … and even how to work with vscode with windows, version 1.58. Things are different, and I am lost. (part about settings.json)
Jacob Han –
Very nice course. Instructor Explains everything clearly. Love it ! Thank you so much for such an amazing course!
Kaitlin Decker –
Great course, perfect for people new to Redux who like to just jump in and code.
Igor Gnatchenko –
The course is very good!
Sathiskumar R –
It is good. but, It could be better.
Zac –
I like the instructor and the content. I wish these could be more interactive. I see that people leave notes but I don’t understand how to access. It would be great if notes associated with the timeline so you can add notes for specific parts of the video.
