A really detailed course and a one stop shop for e commerce web development

In some cases there is way to much detail. IDs, classes, etc will be explained numerous times. The CSS explanations are good examples of that. In other areas there is almost no explaining. Essentially we are just watching someone create a website with VERY limited explanation on why or how the logic and syntax work to produce the outcome.

I feel like I have been learning a lot, but fixing bugs is hardest part and I failed to fix the bugs in Admin Panel for insert product. Instructor doesn’t tell how to debug. To find source code I had to skip ahead too many sections because source code is not published for every section.

Very disappointed, I bought this course 2 years ago and it frustrated me then enough to leave it, I have now come back to it and it is just as much a challenge. Awful code writing with no indentation, after asking a question to an obvious error I was told the instructor would have to ask somebody as it was a technical query, really? does that mean the instructor is only copying the code from a book? I have over 100 courses on Udemy and this is clearly the worse, there is no tuition, only copy what is shown, I have seen others ask questions to the same problems and told to copy the code with no explanation left in the Q&A. I hope the course improves as we move to PHP and will amend my review if it does but I really cant see any tuition or learning coming from it.

First off, I want to say this course is amazing. The sheer amount of topics covered in depth is just superb. There are only two small quirks that kept it from a full five stars: 1) We’re using Bootstrap 3 instead of 4. Not a huge deal. 2) I say this with full respect for our instructor the utter lack of indentation fills me with something akin to religious horror! I’m not criticizing, it’s just so completely opposite of how they pounded indentation into us back in CS courses that I still feel the lash of my professor’s harsh words! All that said, though, I would DEFINITELY recommend this course. If 4 3/4 stars were available I would give it that.
