Only halfway through the course but I already really like the pace and the content. I work in pharma, and like a lot professionals I was thrusted into DW environments, SQL querying, etc.. without any formal training and I’ve never been some one to read a book and pick up a subject. So, I started with simple boolean queries and have worked my way up to more complicated joins as well as working on company initiatives to expand data sets in our DW and to use SQL to actionize complicated, disparate data sets; this course on administration is so helpful because it fills in so many of the knowledge gaps that I half knew from organically working with SQL everyday. This will directly allow me to be more independent in creating robust data environments as well as more knowledgeable when discussing commercial data build outs with IT consultants. Great job to John and the Mavens team on making a complicated subject easy to access.

I love how interactive this course is, makes it so much easier to learn! These beginner courses can sometimes be too basic or overly complex, but this version of SQL database for beginners is the perfect mix. You’ll leave this class with 10x knowledge you can start applying to your work now. Thanks!

I’ve taken the other courses offered by Mr. Pauler and this one has certainly lived up to the quality of those as well. Clear and concise, Mr. Pauler always knows how to get a message/lesson across in a way I can comprehend. Highly recommend this course as well as his others.

EXCELLENT COURSE, with lots of assignments and projects. If anyone wants to be a DBA, or analyst you can dive into this course.
Steven Viddal –
Repeats some stuff which was covered in SQL Bootcamp, but expect it will also go more into depth on database adm than the bootcamp course did. Also, good to get familiar with MySQL in addition to Postgresql. As expected, halfway through more in depth on database management and design has been covered. Looking forward to the rest of the course.
Renu Maurya –
good for basic understanding of the MySQL server
Amit Kumar Dalal –
Very very basic. Tells only Server installation, startup and user management in name of DBA work. User management guides wrongly. Access should be granted at DB level but the course misguides and works this at Global level. Rest all is developer work on creating tables, databases etc.

Am enjoying this course. I had instructors 10 years ago with little to no business experience in software development, mainly academic work. As a result, this course is doing an excellent job expanding their work. You’ve added a wonderful dimension with your years of real life experience.
Steven –
Easy to follow so far.
Amar Pathak –
The course is best for beginners. It will give you good insights of DB. If you are new to DB then course is good to go.
