I enjoyed Edwin’s style of teaching he’s fun and has excitement about what he’s doing so it makes it fun. He doesn’t go too fast so you can follow and learn.
Anda Rozenfelde –
Great course, thank you! Everything is well explained and easy to understand.

The project is a good one to work with and can be very helpful to understand how content management systems are build and work but there are a lot of instructions without further explanation. Like we need to add x function in this file because if we don’t it’s bad…

The controls and screen layout looks like it has changed from when the video was made. I do not see the same tabs on the right as what Edwin is telling us about.

Mr Edwin is awesome instructor! He really cares and tries to motivate the students to learn how much they can through out the course. He makes you laugh. I have learned a lot from from this course and other course he teaches. He explains in detail. I do like that he leaves his mistakes in the videos because as a student I learn from the errors he receives. We grow from mistakes. Thank you Mr Edwin. I really in joy your courses.

This is my third PHP course with Edwin, originally starting as a complete beginner. His OOP course is easy to understand if you already know the basics. Every lecturer has a different style in teaching and I personally like his real world in class style. Highly recommend it.

Very good

The Instructor is very good, he is explaining his stuff in good manner. Information in course are often refreshed and always up to date. The majority of code is working without problem. On the other hand, the content of the course is very average. It is only very basic stuff on OOP PHP, I am missing more maybe little bit theoritacal lectures where the main principles of OOP would be described. Thinks like encapsulation, polymorphism was never even mention ( although they were used sometimes ) and a lot of advanced concepts of OOP ( which are doing OOP PHP so useful ) where never introduced, like namespaces, magic methods, abstract classes, interfaces and traits. It is maybe little bit more advanced bud at least abstract classes, interfaces and namespaces are basic stuff for OOP so there should be lectures for it. I would say this course is very little introduction to basic OOP concepts and could be some inter stage between more advanced course ( without using frameworks ). Also I am disappointed because instructor did not really used some basic BEST PRACTICES in PHP and OOP, things like first thing I learned when I started to learn OOP in past, was that classes are always written with StudlyCaps and methods are written with camelCase. And also every class should have its own file with also same name in StudlyCaps, and it is really not good practice to instantiate the class in its file for example. So summing all up, the course is only very basic in problematic of OOP, and the instructor is using very procedural style of writing OOP.

Good lecturer for my favourite programming (Server side Scripting) Language. After this, I will be going for the Laravel Course

I’ll give this five stars because the content is awesome, and the conversation style is real. It can be tough at times with the Edwin from the future interjections, and some of philosophical viewpoints somewhat get in the way of learning. Much as I love motivation I have very limited time to learn and the distraction gets in the way but that’s just for me.

I bought this course because of the reviews. I’ve seen the basics of OOP sections and the examples are absolutely abysmal. I think it’s because I’m studying Computing that’s why I can tell straight away that his codes are terrible. Like what the other reviewer said, there’s no encapsulation, polymorphism, etc. He’s not even using the best practice in coding which is not using magic numbers, camel case, etc. If you want a quick and easy way of creating a photo gallery, there’s nothing stopping you but it’s best to know the right approach in creating an OOP website. Clients wouldn’t care how your codes will look and I guess that’s the point behind this video. I do regret buying it.

you learn how to do it step by step you can see your simply code changes to pro code!!

Now I am done with this course and I must say that I have had incredible fun for some times and felt anger some times, angry at myself for not understanding. But for never having done OOP, I have succeeded well. And I attribute that to Edwin Diaz who has a wonderful attitude to teaching and to life in general. Thank you so much Edwin for some very good hours. You have not heard me for the last time : )

This is the second course I’ve tried from this tutor. I think those were the worst courses I’ve ever taken. Full of errors, no information why you are doing something Just google it. You are basicly going to copy & paste html for hours, even tho you downloaded the project structure. You are also not using any patterns and the tutor is greeting you like you are watching a twitch streamer. Wow.

I have programmed in Java for many years, so I am well versed with OOP concepts, and wanted to learn equivalent concepts in PHP. The way the instructor explains OOP concepts here is atrocious, I don’t think anyone should learn OOP like this. Who names a class with plurals? No basic concepts of OOP explained. Incorrectly named concepts (regular mistake).
Radu Musat –
Edwin makes this very easy to understand which is something that not many people can do programming is not easy to explain. I’ve been learning from his PHP beginners course and when I felt confident enough, moving on to OOP, this felt like the natural choice. I’m glad to see I wasn’t wrong about this course. The only thing that’s missing is MVC which is also something that pretty important. Edwin if you’re reading this, please add a section on MVC and this course will be beyond godlike!.
