I was able to finish this course in a day. It lets your really exercise ES6 JS. The best approach if you’re a learn by doing type of guy.

Good course! It was very actionable, and typing it after the instructor has typed it has been very beneficial for learning. I think it was a pretty fun project, and was chock full of condensed knowledge. Was fun to play around with too. Onto feedback: The instructor’s voice could be a little less monotone. He has a very gentle voice, but it makes me a bit sleepy hearing it. Make sure that minor edits are given more than a flash of the screen’s time before switching over to another part! There were a handful of times where I had to pause to grab the text before resuming. Minor inconvenience. Please keep a consistent variable naming method! The uncapitalized naming of files and some classes/objects drove me a bit crazy. A quick overview of common debugging methods for a game of this type would be nice; I was able to follow along just fine with some prior programming knowledge, but I can see someone else getting more easily lost in the details. Introducing the Inspect Element tab way beforehand would be nice. Introducing some ways in which we can extend this could be nice too! Or just a quick celebration at the end of the course is nice too, it ended a bit abruptly in my opinion. Knowing how I can actually deploy the game, and not just through a live server extension version of this in Visual Studio Code, would be cool. But overall I had fun with it. Would recommend and would be doing more with this instructor too!

Pros: The project is fun. Easy setup. The course moves fast so you will see the result soon but this comes with some cons. The teacher’s voice is clear and he sounds confident about what he is doing. This is great but fails to transmit all his knowledge. Cons: As is fast, it can be hard if you are not familiar with programming, OOP, and the tools used. He doesn’t stop even a second while coding and switches files fast. I might sound nitpicky but this makes it hard to follow and code along. He doesn’t go much in detail about how Phaser 3 works. There is no repo that I could find to overview my work or use it as a reference. I knew this wasn’t a Phaser 3 tutorial but the teacher could go a little further explaining how things work. That could really help in case we run into trouble and we have to debug; or in case we want to experiment with the code and change some of the settings. As a result I am having trouble understanding the inner work of Phaser 3. I thought that going into this project would give me some perspective about game coding and teach me some tools to start but right now I am not so sure. What you’ll learn: Javascript, phaser 3, animation, Figma and game design. Well, he showed all that, but I can not say that I learn it. Phaser 3 sounds like a powerful tool to work with, but I will need to go and find another place to learn its complete features.

I enjoyed the course, it was quick and I learned a few things, the only issue was with screen resizing, some of the time the game would load to fit screen size and sometimes it would be way larger. I couldn’t tell what was going on with that.

Excellent course! You will learn and practice a lot about JavaScript and Phaser during this course. Highly recommended.
