Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) are the next big thing in web development as they bring mobile–app–like experiences to your users without requiring them to install an app from the app store/ play store.
You still create a web application (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) but this course will teach you how to add features such as camera access, service workers for offline support, push notifications and more. This combines the best of both worlds: You deliver fast, engaging and reliable experiences whilst still having the reach and accessibility of a web page.
Progressive Web App simply is a term summarizing all the features allowing you to deliver mobile–like experiences. The topic is highly trending and it also is a topic which is here to stay! Not only is it strongly promoted by Google (actually a lot of talks at Google I/O 2017, Google’s developer conference, were devoted to PWAs), it’s also quickly being adopted by big companies like Twitter or the Washington Post.
Having the skills to build and optimize these kind of web apps is already an important and highly demanded skill for modern web developers, a trend which is only going to accelerate! Therefore, learning how to build PWAs will give you a competitive edge!

Max is an exceptional lecturer. When I want to learn something new on Udemy I first look to see if he has a course available. I only wish Max did backend frameworks too!
Tim Poppe –
very clear and concise
Zak Warren –
Max provides great instruction and demonstrations about all the progressive features that can be used to enhance web apps. The way it’s built up step by step is useful for showing how things can be added, especially when only wanting to implement a smaller number of these features in outside projects.

It is an excellent course. It gives what it promises. This course covers PWA, Caching, IndexDB and their implementation as well as Push Notification, Native device features. The course is not just a course to learn but a great guide to help you improve yourself with supplemental materials and reference resources for each topic. I strongly suggest this course. You will be enlightened!!!

Joseph Dickinson –
Max is a great teacher!
Rodrigo Tosta –
Course is good, however, I started felling a bit frustrated after some time due to the unnecessary and repeated content. It is not flowing smoothly because I have to keep skipping or moving forward the lessons Such things like how to install firebase and use promises are out of the scope, or even when repeat over and over how to cache data that increases the module a lot. If it is a PWA course, it should focus on PWA features only.
Miguel Marin Vermelho –
Great and well explained, as always. I cannot begin to explain how much I have learnt with your courses, Maximilian! Thanks for the great content 🙂
Joaquim Cuadro –

great course, but the content needs an update.
Deepak Kumar Padhy –
Yes so far this seems to be a good course. I had no prior knowledge on progressive web app. Trying to learn something new.

Great interactive course .
Gabriel Hahn Schaeffer –
A very good course created by Max which I really learned a lot about PWA and how to improve my web apps with it. But, Max didn’t do a good job about following some JavaScripts patterns (not clear variable names, copy and paste pieces of code in more than one file and so on). Don’t understand me wrong, it’s an amazing course, but I think Max could make the JavaScript code more readable.
Josephine Plass Nielsen –
It seems like a good fit
JAINA Patel –

Till now everything is so nice.
Angie Stoudemire –
It is exactly what I needed in a pwa course. A full walk through of what it is and how to build it and implement it into previous projects now matter the frame work that was used.
Steven Stapleton –
I have done three of his courses. I find is teaching style and the depth of content amazing. Definitely worth it.
Diego –
Va bien
Nikhil Choudhary –
This is the only course I could find for PWA and it’s awesome. I absolutely loved it. Max is one of the best instructors I ever came across on Udemy.
Alan Tilley –
I have taken a couple of Max’s courses and looking forward to a knowledge packed PWA course.
Neeraj Singh –
No doubt about the course and teaching. I am giving 2 stars and will update to 5 but please update workbox module because it’s too much outdated and It’s quite impossible to work with that version.
David Lipschitz –
I love Max and his approach.
Michele de Felice –
yes until now it’s very clear
Stephan L cher –
Hey Max, this is a really nice course. All core concepts are well explained. I like your style of theory/practising mix. It allow us, to understand how and why something works or not. Sadly, I can give only 4 stars. Expected, a really nice course, It is, but for 5 stars, most content, even is the key concept clear and the core the same, but there is some really old content
Petr Hnyk –
Great course over all. Principles are the same even after the three years from original recording, yet some updates should by made. Especially addressing PWA + SPA with React, Angular and Vue is bit outdated.
Mauricio Morales –
As always an incredible course, although it was created on 2017 it open my eyes of how to do a real improvement on my web developments. Thank you. !!!
