The only number of videos is created but the content is not so good.

Jose Portilla, never fails to deliver. He is always at point and very concise with all his explanations. He’s pronunciation is very clear. He is one of the instructors at Udemy that I really enjoy listening too. Overall content is extremely enjoyable.

The majority of the videos are good, but in some cases I feel that they are too brief. I also wish some of the code samples were commented a little better so that you can follow along and understand. This course also needs to be updated to Python3. It’s not hard to update the code yourself as you go along, but it’s an annoyance. Overall I would say the course is pretty good. I learned a good amount, but I did need to watch videos and read explanations from other sites to understand certain topics that I didn’t feel were explained well enough in this course.

I am really disappointed by this course. I wasn’t expecting it to cover everything, but I was really expecting the instructor to cover the material more throughly instead of literally copying and pasting the contents from the book Data Structures and Algorithms in Python. I had the book with me during the lectures and the explanations /slide content were excerts from textbook and ALL images were from there as well. It seems it would be easier if I just read the book instead of watching the videos… Also some of the solutions explanations left me disappointed. For instance, when explaining the permutation solution, he simply says use some print statements and try to understand what is happening. Well, I was expecting the instructor to draw the recursive trace and explain each step, because if I ave to do it myself the course is kinda pointless. The interview part may be useful to some people, specially if they live in the US, but anyone from another country will find they mostly irrelevant.

Till now everything seems perfect and in line. Looking forward to see what the program has got overall.

it was very clear.

Seems outdated

Maybe this course will teach you to develop fast algorithms but never ever use the code style presented by the author. It’s not PEP8. It’s even against common practices. Training materials are missing huge data sets to compare different algorithms on them. This shall be a must for such a course.

just reading out questions and answers from text. No emphasis on understanding practice questions with a visualization or atleast some walkthru on strategy on board. even a bit of viz could have helped in understanding answers quickly (e.g. Nth to last node, i went thru multiple times with the video, now i think that could have taught better with viz)

very detailed, love that theory is followed by application with great examples. The theory sections are very clear and concise.
