Python programmers are among the highest paid developers on the planet. Lots of programmers are trying to build an edge as Python developers in order to stand out of the crowd.
One of the best ways for you to do this is by being able to create applications in Python that are cross–platform, and have a graphical user interface (GUI).
This course will allow you to add GUI programming using PYQT5 to your box of tricks.
PYQT is a set of bindings that enable you to use the QT toolkit. QT was created nearly 25 years ago and is continually improved, and is one of the most popular toolkits of it’s type available. Many companies have turned to QT to bring cross platform capabilities to their applications.
Programmers who are experienced with QT, and by extension PYQT are in high demand.
The latest version of PYQT is 5, so this course focuses on that version – PYQT5.
If you are looking to learn Python GUI programming and specifically QT and PYQT5 then this is the course for you.
Volkan At1s, your instructor is a very experienced developer, and knows Python GUI application development inside out. He is here to pass on those skills to you.

The material is well presented and highly relevant.

The instructor delivers the course at perfect pace. Not boring participants with too much theory and he guides us to develop real apps from scratch to useful ones.
Fariq Ghani –
I’ve learnt a lot of new thing in this course

Great course. One of the best PyQt5 courses. Volkan explain all material using very simple english language. He has a pleasant voice. During the course we build several interesting and useful application. These apps you can use as base for constructing your own project. But, howewer, there is one disadvantage in these course. Volkan doesn’t like to exlain some difficult material in his lections. He just say something like: It hard to explain. You’ll understand it later ) Not all of these things I can understand by myself. It would be better to explain it.

Instructor explains too much about pixels and locations rather than explaining key python statement…like why super()…what does it mean
Isaac Ferreira dos Santos –
The instructor is teaching us how to build our application, but he is not explain what each of line means. Maybe he will teach us some lectures ahead.
Duvert Ariel Aguilar Vargas –
Claro y conciso!
Prajwal –
I you could tell us why you have used super class, instead of using library straightly could have been more comprehensive.
Vik Makker –
To the point, and readily applicable.
Apurva Shukla –
Yes thongs have been explained in simple understandable manner

The projects really help put into perspective how GUI programming works (when using python). The only downside is that there are no traditional homework style assignments. I took a python programming course before this one and found that such supplementary assignments helped with the learning process. Besides that, it is an amazing course!! 🙂

The instructor has a great knowledge, however the course was not designed as professionally as possible, to allow him to unfold all his coding skills. In many occasions, when he makes a mistake (this is normal and can happen to anyone), he does not edit the video to remove it and save learning time. I saw comments of other students, complaining on copy paste of code all the time in the videos, well this is normal for a programming job, to always manage and reuse as much code as possible. However there is a lot of code reused unnecessarily, since the same code is being repeated many times. A simple Function could be used instead. Similarly, there is excess use of global variables in the codes, instead of proper writing of classes, to receive variables and values, while being called. In this course you will get valuable information on how to deploy and use the PyQt5 library, widgets, etc (which is really great), however the coding style is not professional at all (there is no consistency and it is difficult for another person to understand the code, if he is not the one writing it….meaning, this is not pythonic code style). In general, if you want to start with PyQt5, go ahead and take the course and be patient until the end.

After a few starting difficulties (I use Python over cmd, so I had to figure that one out first) I quite like this course so far. As much as I can like it after three lectures that is.

Excellent course. It was very informative and useful. Infact, I could create a new desktop application for my office use based on this training. Thank you.
Mohini Kale –
Audio quality could be slightly improved.
Patrick Lawlor –
really excellent, especially for a subject where it’s so hard to get hold of good quality learning materials.

The accent and lesser grammar makes me wish I chose another course. Can still follow along, but it’s not the most pleasant experience.

I found all answers to all my question I had with this course regarding pyqt. I tried to read pyqt book and watch youtube but material was not as clear and compact as presented in this course. Great time saver!
Juan Sainz –
Bastante bueno el tutorial

So far my question has not been answered. The IDE I downloaded is a very different version from the one in the video lectures. I have no idea how he even got to the section in video 2. My PyQt5 doesn’t even remotely look like the instructor’s. Help me be not disappointed, please.

Far far better than the other bestseller pyqt courses. Yes, The teacher has accent but the content is awesome. From the first video of the course, every other videos is full of info. Also the structure helped me gather the pieces of the puzzle. The pace is great. no need to slow down or fast forward the video. I havent gone through the applications yet, But I am sure they are very well taught. Good job Volkan, good luck to you.

So far everything is good
