This course will take you from zero to a level where you can write any Qt C++ Gui application you may want. It is aimed at complete beginners but people with varying levels of experience wishing to learn Qt C++ Gui will equally find it useful.
Qt is second to none in the field of building cross platform GUI application based on C++. It can currently be used to build software that runs on virtually any platform out there: Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, IOS and even embedded systems. You basically build your software once and all you have to do is build it for your desired platform and voila !
The course starts with a complete beginner to both C++ and Qt in mind, and we take you through the the process of getting your environment set up on your platform of choice :
We do a live install of Qt Creator on Windows
We do a live install of Qt Creator on Linux
We guide you though how you would install Qt Creator on a Mac
We guide you through Qt Creator showing you the tools that work together to get your application built
We then take you on a tour of the C++ programming language, covering the concepts deemed important to start working with Qt to build your shinny GUI applications. You don’t need to be a C++ wizard to start writing your applications using Qt. One of the goals behind Qt itself is to be as easy to use as possible, helping you to focus on your application logic rather than the C++ complex plumbing. This does not mean that you can do with zero C++ knowledge though. That’s why we take you on a tour to cover the basic concepts of the language covering topics like:

Great introduction to Qt. All I need to start programming GUIs with Qt!
June McMillan –
Clear and understandable
Oliver Hookins –
A good introduction to Qt which is exactly what I was looking for. Comprehensive overview although doesn t dive too deeply into anything for example, why Labels are used to display images is still a bit of a mystery to me. I m a stickler for formatting and correct code, so I feel the odd spacing and occasional typos detract from the quality of the course but it s a minor issue. I think you could also afford to edit out the project creation steps which are repeated exactly the same in almost all of the videos.

This course is the best I have seen for Qt. I have taken a few which were not bad, but this course is the best as you get into the coding part of it faster. In addition, no C++ is really needed for the course, and you get what you need before you start using the C++ simplifications that Qt really provides.

Very good, although I already have previous knowledge of C ++, it was a bit difficult for me to enter Qt, so nothing better than a Udemy course, to teach me to leave the world of console applications and video games with Unity

4 stars only because I don t know enough yet, only introduced to this yesterday but am extremely Excited to learn QT after taking one of Udemy s C++ classes. I believe learning by application propels success. If you want to learn how to run user interface in CPP and have cross platform compatibility this is the course for you also!

This is a really good course for people who ACTUALLY KNOW C++ very well and want to learn how to develop GUI using Qt framework. The topics covered are very useful. However, the instructor keeps repeating You probably don’t understand this… nevermind just follow along which can be annoying for less advanced programmers. If you have a good base of C++, this course is perfect for you

Long winded at times. Would prefer more condensed information at times, and less repetition.
Dmitriy Samofalov –
A good Qt course for beginners. The author explains the topics clearly, gives examples of widgets in each lesson. As a wish to the course: as a beginner, I would like to see the topics discussed on the example of one completed application. I liked the course and turned out to be useful to me, thanks!
Riddhiman Acharya –

Nabakrushna Pradhan –
