Mobile apps are one of the best ways to engage with users – no wonder everyone wants to build one!
Wouldn’t it be great if you could use your web development knowledge, combined with your React knowledge, to build mobile apps with that?
That’s exactly what React Native allows you to do!
No need to learn Java, Android, Swift, ObjectiveC or anything of that – React and JavaScript is all you need to create awesome native mobile apps that work on both Android and iOS. That’s probably the reason why Instagram, AirBnB, Skype and many other global companies are using it to build their mobile apps!
With this course, you can join this league. I’ll teach you all you need to create your own React Native apps, publish them to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store and dive really deep into the React Native ecosystem.
You’ll learn all about the theory behind React Native, its core concepts, how to build responsive designs that work on different device sizes, how to navigate around, use maps and the camera and so much more!
And which better way to learn than by building a real app? We’ll build the Awesome Places app in this course, an app where users can share amazing pictures and the location where they took them. This app will allow you to see things like using maps, the camera, user authentication, connecting to a server and much more in action.

Not completed the course yet but there is so much quality content. Most of the lessons have resources attached to them pointing you to the documentation so you know exactly what’s available to you. By far one of the best tutors on Udemy.
Zidni Mujib –

Todd Marshall –
Errors running the app after changing to using hooks. Should be more help with debugging.

I am nearing the end of the course and I am not feeling like it was pain at all to learn it, the process much more felt like a nice walk outside on a sunny day. By stacking knowledge upon previously learned knowledge and repeating already learned concepts you quickly get used to all the techniques required to build a great application. Max is an amazing instructor, he is quite quick at some points but really, at these points, you’re already just coding along with him at the same speed. When things get tricky, he takes his time to explain the deep concepts of what he’s coding and why, which helps to grasp the bigger picture. I can only highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to get familiar with developing React Native apps and write code for multiple devices at the same time. Although previous, basic knowledge about ReactJS and ES6 are definitely needed if you have them, React Native is a piece of cake. Thank you, Maximilian!

Really bad presentation. Chaos. Presenter is navigating around a very small screen quite rapidly. It is very hard to follow, and very hard to identify clearly the ways in which the pieces of code that are written relate to one another. Also code is continually obscured by things going on in his editor. I find this presentation style very confusing. If I were you I’d avoid this course. Without doubt some of the worst presentation I’ve seen on Udemy

I am very happy with this course. The thing that I’m most impressed with is how well it is maintained (this can be a problem with javascript frameworks). Also, everything is explained very thoroughly. Would definitely recommend.

Yes, Max is always good at giving you an overall idea about the technology you are using. It helps you better visualize aspects apart from coding.

I feel like sometimes, especially at the beginning, it is a little hard to focus due to the speed of the talk especially at those very theoretical lessons, things are being said fast and there is not enough space to process things that were just said and distinguish what should I remember. I personally would prefer longer pause in speech and simpler (and more efficient and structured) sentences. So I feel less overwhelmed with information. But other than that, the structure and the content is really easy to follow and helpful and is definitely worse the price and it gets much easier as the course progresses. 🙂

It was amazing. Max is a great teacher. I loved the course.

It went a little too fast over the emulation part but the course is exactly what i needed to learn using react native. The phase and the order of the topics are very good. I feel like I learn everything I expected and some more.

Everything was good about that course, except one tiny thing: using google registered billing account. I do believe that there should not be any restrictions of doing course tasks, but requiring to have that account may contain issues. Like in my case we will have a company account indeed, but while I’m studying, I really don’t like to have any requirements to use my credit cards to register something for a course. Again, this is the only issue I faced during this course, everything else is great and thank you for your course!

I’ve taken almost all of Max’s classes, left a 5 star rating on each. I had just forgotten to rate this one so I figured I’d squeeze it in.

This is a great course indeed! I learned a lot mid way of the whole course and I’m determined to finish this. However, if Max welcomes it, I would like to suggest something about his way of speaking. Please keep in mind that we are all students trying to learn something *new*. And saying of course every few sentences seems to imply that we are expected to already know something about the current lesson. It makes me feel dumb or really irritating. I know the difficulty of not having English as the native language but please lessen the use of of course and other unnecessary words that are just not very helpful if not distracting. Of course, this is my own opinion and this course is still excellent in the way it uses little projects to gradually teach React Native and related technologies. Thanks Max!
